Todd Mcshay is a joke
bradford #1 overall lmao ! get serious todd. hes hasnt run a pro style offense in one game. it will take bradford 3-4 years to become a pro quaterback.
lions either take andre smith or stafford. stafford is alot like matt ryan, not as far along, but same prototype. lions can not afford to **** this draft up. i think bradford might be a good qb someday, but hes not the 1st pick by any means. you can plug stafford in right away and he will be able to run a pro style offense. i think lions should go the dolphins route and take the best OL in smith, but they desperately need a qb. take stafford, start culpepper to start the season, and when he starts out 0-4, go to stafford. lions have some young talent in c johnson and k smith dont **** it up by drafting basically a texas tech system qb please. also pay parcells 8 mil a year to be ur gm gl lions |

I would start on the Line with with Smith and build out there. I think this is a pretty weak QB class and I dont know if they think Drew Stanton is the answer, but this team needs to get its o line tight and build out

i heard they would be interested in cassell, but brady might be out for 09 so lions would have to overpay for him which i think is a bad idea.
also look for mcnabbs or kevin kolbs name to come up with the bears, lions, and niners. i like building the oline 1st too, they can be a staple for 10 years. i dont think stanton is the answer. another option could be jp losman or kyle boller to help fill the void |

cassel a lion? He could get the ball to Cj, you draft all defensive players and sign a few vets on offense imo

i think ur wrong about kolb honestly. hes gonna be comparable to aaron rodgers situation. alot of valuable learning time under mcnabb.
kolb had to re-learn how to play qb, he was a shotgun qb in college who had no idea was a prostyle offense was. he has raw talent hes learning how to be a pro qb. kolb is gonna suprise some people when he gets a chance to play someday. he played 1 game this year, he got thrown into the fire against a baltimore defense late in the season. he didnt take a live snap in like 10 weeks. |

If McDaniels goes for a head coaching job I could def see Cassel following him. But Josh wont go to Det IMO. I think Cassel is a system QB and going to a team like Det with much poorer coaching than hes used to, he wont do much. Great to have CJ, but better to have Moss and Welker and a top O Line.

starting to think McNabb will be back and I think he should. Kolb just didnt look very NFL ready but it was only a half against the best defense in football. Iggles would be wise to keep McNABB. I dont think Stanton is the answer either but I think Smith is one of those tackles who will be a mainstay as u said for 10 years and when u do get that franchise QB he is protected

Look what Long did for Pennington. Granted Longs a stud, but having watched every play of every game, guy is a stud. Other than QB or maybe DE, LT is most imp position.

I'd take McNabb in a heartbeat.....The guy is a top level QB and gets far too much flack.....If we had him 2 years ago we woulda been champs.....Ooops, sorry.....I'll stop daydreaming now....

Agree Bird, I was in Philly for McNabbs 1st 7 or so years ans still follow him cause I always liked him and love Westbrook being from Nova, abotu 20 min from where I lived. And if they dont bring him back, they are flat out morons. Good luck if Kolb is your starter over McNabb next year. He gets some shit bust most is just because its Philly fans being Philly fans.

i love mcnabb he gets lazy sometimes and gets a big head. i love that reid benched him, its like when charlie manuel benched j roll.
it doesnt matter who you are, if you dont perform you sit. it put mcnabb in his place and remembered that hes 30+ and he isnt guarenteed to stay. heres the problem, eagles are an older team and they have to make a decision soon on alot of regulars. mcnabb is under contract for awhile. i would like for him to stay until hes about 35-36. westbrook has about 2-3 decent years left, deshawn jackson is a good young wr. when westbrook is finished, so is mcnabb, sounds about right doesnt it? |

Agree with McNabb and BW done about the same time. RB's dont last and he has been able to even playing more downs than most backs, but with the nagging inj mounting BW prob has 2-3 more very good years. About the same as McNabb Id think. Window about the same with their 2 top players. Love Deshean. Rookie WR's almost NEVER make much of an impact, even 1st rd'ers, he is going to be a stud as long as he has someone, like DM, that can get him the ball.

when westbrook is finished so r the Iggles as they have absolutely no viable back up. They do not draft skill positions well. Desean Jackson is a number 2 and a very good number 2. I would like to see them get a Boldin or a back like what we have but dont utilize enough in Buckhalter. Secondary is strong and linebackers are young. Dline is alittle light in the ass. Hopefully Andrews gets his head on for next year and they move him out to his natural position at tackle if they dont sign 1 of the 2. Dawk who is one of the best Iggles to ever play the game and will be only the 2nd or 3rd safety inducted into the hall of fame should get resigned for 2 more years. McNabb should get 2 more years or 1 if the wheels come off next year and then see what the kid can do.
