Vegasinsider question

I know some of you use Vegasinsider for analysis and there is often debate here about what side the public is really on. Vegasinsider lists percentages on each side of a game based on info from a few different books, for example, with a spread for a game it might have
-3 59%
+3 41%

Are these percentages a percentage of the overall money or the overall number of individual bets. I would assume that it's money, but I can't find anything on the site to verify it.

What other sites do you like for this kind of info? Why?

All these sites supposedly post the overall number of bets, not the overall money being bet.

So you could have Team A with 99% of the bets and Team B with 1% of the bets but the actual money could be those 99% have 100K but that one bet on Team B could be 200K. Obviously exageration on the numbers but hopefully you see the point, it is the amount of bets made and not dollars bet to answer your question.

I understand what you're saying. Is there a site(s) that tells what the actual dollars or percentage of dollars on sides are?
