very usefull info about nfl betting
i found some data about sportsbetting that i thought was quite intresting. the info is taken from every nfl game from 1981-2001.
% of total bets on favorites..........% that the favorite covered favorites 60.6% of bets.......................... covered 48.2% of the games home favorites 56.1% of bets.................. covered 48.8% of the games road favorites 68.2% of bets................... covered 46.7% of the games 1st 1/2 of the season 63.4% of bets......... covered 47.7% of the games 2nd 1/2 of the season 56.3% of bets........ covered 48.5% of the games 6+ point favorites 60% of bets................ covered 48.5% of the games 3.5-6 point favorites 59.5% of bets.......... covered 48.1% of the games 0-3 point favorites 61.5% of bets............ covered 47.8% of the games this season i have been keeping track of some statistics of my own to check this and this season i have these numbers: favorites are 35-50-4 ats.... covered 39% of the games home favorites are 20-27-4 ats..... covered 42% of the games road favorites are 15-23 ats...... covered 39% of the games just something to think about.......
