what a ****in joke...goodell is a freakin douchebag. 2 years in jail is more than enough penalty to fit the crime. This is over the top and the players association should come to his defense

yep, this is bull shit, goodell sucking up to peta or what? people are going to protest when he comes back whether the suspension is a game, 6 games or 12 games..doesnt matter......should be no suspension, no fine nothing...he served his time, now he should be allowed to move on and compete for a job

I think, with all due respect, you are missing it. Goodell is sending a personal message here. When this story first broke, Vick looked him in the eye and swore it wasn't true. It's about the lying and initial cover-up, as much as it is about what he actually did to the dogs.

no doubt. He spent far more time in jail then I thought he should've. But that was the government punishing him. This is Goodell.

He is making him an example to all the other players in the league: "you f*ck up and get caught, you better come clean, because if you lie to me it's going to be alot worse for you."

again--that is not going to be the stated public reason. But don't think for 1 second that the lying didn't get him from 4 games to 6 games. I have no doubt that it did.

Figured he was going to get 4 so 6 doesn't bother me that much. What he paid to society is not the same as what his penalty from the NFL is. The time he lost already in the NFL was because of himself and you don't get to claim well I lost time already from the NFL because I was in jail, lol!!! Now is time to pay his penalty to the NFL itself.
