Several Wildcat plays installed with Harvin in there

Be fun to watch him and All Day in the same backfield

him being gone this season along with Murphy and others are a big reason the Gators won't be repeating this season IMO........

he was the X factor no doubt and I am curious to see what Tebow does without him

Gators better be glad they had the extra time to get him healed up....

a lot of times coaches don't like the big gap between games but without Harvin OU probably wins that game even playing as shitty as they did...

Speed kills and he has it.....could see him contributing similar to how Felix will with the boyz

silly billys, not looking for back and forth as this is the nfl forum

but...

Tebow's stat line, 18/30 231 yds passing 2 TDs 2 INTs plus 22/109 rushing yds rushing, his leadership along with the 4th quarter where he was unstoppable was enough for mvp

Harvin had some nice plays, and it could have gone to either, but def not egregious that it was given to Tebow. Harvin was 9/122 1 TD rushing and 5/49 yds receiving.

Harvin and Murph are def going to be missed particularly because the gators are left thin at receiver, there are two players in the back field still though that are faster then Harvin, they are strictly RBs however (Demps & Rainey).

How fast is Demps? he is the fastest recorded football player.....ever

NFL or NCAA, he could have been on the Olympic track team.

What makes him unique though is he isnt a track star converted to football player. Football player through and through.

Rumor is Riley Cooper was going to play baseball ONLY this year, magnifying the loss of quality receivers

Something tells me he will play though. Hernandez the TE and Moody RB will play a bigger role this year. Hernandez made play after play in 3rd down conversions during the 4th. Harvin didnt play the 4th quarter because Harris twisted his ankle after a tackle.

The defense held the most prolific offense in NCAA history to 2 TDs

That is still there, frankly if I was made to choose between Harvin or the defense Ill take the defense every time.

Harvin didnt beat OU, UF beat OU, in no way did OU not play well

They hadnt faced a defense like that all year. The receivers were locked down.

The 2 goal line stands are a testament to that, not an excuse for a loss.

Both of which were short fields after Gator TOs, thats right the Gators uncharacteristically turned the ball over too. No excuses though

UF beat them in every stat but passing yards on both sides of the ball with over 100 more yds total offense. They made more plays, again on both sides of the ball.

If OU fans or Big 12 fans want to hold onto "OU didnt play their best"

then im afraid you look terribly stupid.

As for this year the Gators are bound to lose a game, Georgia or LSU are games where they might slip. But with 2 NCs in 3 years a one loss UF team is in the game again over anyone else in the country with one loss. Just the repect you get with 2 crystal balls.

Its more conceivable that Texas cant find a way to beat a tough OU/rivalry game, 2 years in a row, then Florida losing twice.

When was the last time Texas won that game 2 years in a row?

I wonder if a one loss USC team gets in over a one loss Big 12 team.

Im starting a thread up in the college foots section to discuss a big game that I havent heard any chatter about yet.

Georgia vs OKST. see yall there

Romo.....appreciate the passion you have for your Gators

You are right about the bottom line but I don't care how good that Florida defense is the fact that OU didn't get into the endzone twice inside the 10 yard line was a big big break for the Gators.....

McCoy and company would have got in

sorry Romo........had to do it!

Gators are the daddys of college football though until knocked off.......

Always a fan of Harvin and absolutely hated seeing him go to the Vikes. Dude can flat out play the game!
