Wade Phillips - Will he be fired??

OK, everybody knows I'm a huge Cowboys homer, just wondering everyone's opinion on this. Phillips received Jerry's vote of confidence prior to the bye week, then they come out Sunday and lay an egg at home vs. Tennessee. I think we can all agree Wade must go, but:

1. Is it in the best interest of the franchise to fire a guy 4 games into a two year contract? If so, you're basically bailing on a season in which the Super Bowl will be played in your building.
2. Who do you replace him with? Jason Garrett? If it's Garrett, is it interim or permanent?
3. Is there any chance you get a name like Gruden or Cowher?
4. Can you even consider firing him now with the looming labor issue?
5. Is there any chance Dallas turns the season around under Phillips? With the schedule and the way the rest of the NFC East is playing, Cowboys could be looking at 5-11 or 6-10, IMO.

Thoughts??

not sure, but worth a look, how can you come out so flat after a bye?

2. Who do you replace him with? Jason Garrett? If it's Garrett, is it interim or permanent?

garret isnt an nfl coach IMO, interim if they go the route of firing wade midseason

3. Is there any chance you get a name like Gruden or Cowher?

no

4. Can you even consider firing him now with the looming labor issue?

its the biggest factor to consider

5. Is there any chance Dallas turns the season around under Phillips? With the schedule and the way the rest of the NFC East is playing, Cowboys could be looking at 5-11 or 6-10, IMO.

cowboys season is over, no playoffs, would have been a 1st round loss anyway at best

oline sucks

I think I'm in full agreement with all of this - Jerry painted himself into a corner two years ago when he should have fired him after the 2008 season. Could have had Shanahan then, and in retrospect, worst thing that could have happened was Dallas' strong late season run last year to win the division and a playoff game. I just think their hands are tied now with the labor issue - to me, it's keep Wade and ride it out or replace him with Garrett and take your chances there. No big name's coming there now. I think they're stuck with what they've got.........

You can't fire him right now but if it was up to me I'm cleaning house on this coaching staff.

These guys play like pussies and are mentally weak. They give games away especially when anything is going well.

They need a hardcore mother ****er to get this guys in line. Someone that will dog cuss you when you're doing stupid stuff then be your bffe after.

The penalties are terrible and this team lacks discipline.

Jerry needs to swallow his pride. Even if this team makes the playoffs I'd still fire the whole staff.

There's too much talent not to be going 13-3 every year.

I agree on the fact that should be replaced, but not now. You have to leave the guy there and see what happens with the rest of the season. With the labor issues in play, it may be a lot easier to get rid of him later. From what I have been reading it looks like no NFL next season.

BFD is right. The problem with this team is that Jerry gives zero authority to Wade. That is probably not even Wade's personality, but Jerry does not even allow it. Jerry is the authoritative figure and he is not a coach. The players do not have to be accountable to anyone. As far as Jason Garrett becoming the head coach, give me a break, he is as much the problem as Wade is. I think he could even be a bigger problem. Garrett controls the offense, Wade the defense. Neither has the authority to basically be a head coach, that is Jerry's job. The problem most of this year has been the offense. They move the ball and score little points. They need to clean house.
