Week 4 Football Plays (Bottom Line Mac Picks Winners)

YTD = 15-10-2

Week 4 Sunday Morning/Afternoon Games

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals -3.5
There is not much to cheer about if you live in Ohio these days. Ohio State has lost 2 consecutive National Championships, Lebron might be leaving to play in Europe, the Indians are not going to be returning to the playoffs this year and your 2 football teams are a combines 0-6. There is one thing to cheer about this weekend though, and that is 1 of your teams is going to be 1-3 after Sunday. Which team that is going to be is easy. The Cleveland Browns. The Browns offense really is not as bad as it’s looked. It’s only problem has been that it’s first 3 games of the season, they’ve faced 3 of the top 8 Defenses in the league. Derek Anderson and crew finally get a game where they can actually show what they are capable of. On the flipside of the ball I expect Cincinnati to trade blows with the Browns. This game is going over 50 points and will come down to which team can sustain their level of offense for longer. I like Cleveland in this spot because they can afford to lose by a field goal.

Mac Picks: Cleveland +3.5

Arizona Cardinals at New York Jets -1.5
The New York Jets are terrible. I don’t want to hear about how they lost to 2 good teams either in San Diego and New England. They are simply put terrible. They are lead by a Quarterback who’s never going to play at the level that he once did. Their Defense is soft and will be exposed by the Cardinals immaculate offense. This game should be won by a Touchdown on Arizona’s part.

Mac Picks: Arizona +1.5

Minnesota Vikings at Tennessee Titans -3.0
This game is going to be the game where Tennessee finally chalks up their first loss of the season. The Vikings defense is going to take away the Titans strength on offense, their run game, and force the ball into Kerry Collins hands. On the flipside of the ball when the Titans put the 8 man in the box to try and take away Adrian Peterson, the Coach will drum up a Play action pass, and Gus Frerotte will hook up with Bernard Berrian on a few deep balls. I like Minnesota to win this game straight up, so the 3 point spread is an added bonus.

Mac Picks: Minnesota +3.0

Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys -11.0
This is where the Public perception is being used in our advantage. The Public is simply put, assuming that the Dallas Cowboys are the best team in the league by a mile. That is not true. They may very well be the best team in the league right now, but not too far behind them are the Washington Redskins. This game has field goal game written all over it, and I feel that Washington may actually win this game outright. The 11 point spread is a joke here.

Mac Picks: Washington +11.0

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals Total – 44.5
This game reminds me of 3 years ago when these two teams put up over 90 points. The Bengals offense has finally found some form, and Cleveland must love the fact that they finally face a weak defense. This game goes way over.

Mac Picks: Over 44.5

Washington Redskins at Dallas Cowboys Total – 46.5
The only way the Redskins have a shot at winning this game, is lulling the Dallas team to sleep, by giving them a heavy dosage of Clinton Portis. On the flipside Washington has shown that they won’t give up the big play, but they will give the short underneath stuff all night long. This game looks as if it’s going to be a 21-17 type game.

Mac Picks: Under 46.5

Week 4 Sunday Night Special

Philadelphia Eagles -3.0 at Chicago Bears
Everybody and their grandmother seem to think that Philly is just going to come into this game and smoke the Chicago Bears in front of their home crowd. That couldn’t be further from the truth. If Philadelphia only managed to put up 12 points on a Steelers defense, with Westbrook, than how do they expect to put up more than that on Chicago without Westbrook. Chicago is going to play a suffocating defense, and will pound the clock with Forte at the helm. Add in the ex-factor known as Devon Hester and this game is going to Chicago.

Mac Picks: Chicago +3.0

At first it looks like that, but believe it or not they're is a TON of money on the Jets. Favre fans will NEVER learn.

Arizona is a much better team in all aspects.

i know they are the better team for sure, but 2 days ago i saw 60% bets & sides on the jets yet the line keeps moving to give arizona + points

i think jets special teams contribute an upset. what are your numbers for the game?

I'm not a system capper, but I expect a 28-14 type game here.

wow, the line actually opened up at -3

at first i thought arizona opening up as an underdog was a sucker bet to begin with

now it looks like the line movement is agreeing with your pick

now im undecided

Sorry Poppowski I couldn't figure out what u meant. Now I have 3 sources that I use to guage public betters. 2 Of them are here in my City of Toronto (We are the 4th biggest betting city in North America so don't think anything of it.) and 1 is in New Jersey. And from what I hear even though the bets are almost even on each side, the money is almost 2-1 on the Jets right now. Brett Favre has and always will be a player that generates a lot of action on his side. Totals I don't ask for numbers unless I'm considering a play on it.

Hope that answers your question Popowski.

Ummm...Westbrook barely played in this game so that part of your analysis is completely wrong...not too mention Chicagos D has given up plenty of points this year as well

+1

Westbrook only played half the game. Kyle Orton just sucks. Chicago is 28th in the league against the pass. Eagles are 1st in the league in rush yards allowed.

AND Devon Hester is NO X FACTOR!! He's lost a few steps AND he is questionable with a rib injury
