Wes Welker mvp?

New England fans may be able to answer this best.. but who is the MVP of this 16-0 team?

IMO Wes Welker is the main difference in this teams ability to put up points. He has been Brady's safety pocket and his go to guy on important plays.

Moss has alot of catchs too but there were plenty of blown coverages offensive push offs, and just hail marys to skew the numbers.

Brady obv is the one who makes things happen but from an outsiders view the difference from this year and last years offense is Welker.

anyone agree or disagree?

brady wasnt NEARLY as good last year, the 3 differences were Stallworth, Moss and Welker offensively.

Moss makes Welker this year. Without Moss Welker can't be that other option all the time and fly under the radar, get open as much etc. Not taking anything away from Welker tho, he was a huge difference for this team.

When moss is triple covered brady goes to him and he is good at running after the catch... there isnt a better slot man in the league rjb.

he has steady hands...i'm just that impressed because all i see him do is be covered by a. nobody b. a safety c. a linebacker...he puts up numbers but i think u could plug a number of players in to that spot and get awesome production

rjb i agree that you could be any decent receiver in that position and he would put up those numbers look how well dallas clark does for Indy as a slot receiver. I am also venturing out on a limb and saying you could put a decent Qb in place of Brady while you might not be 16-0 you would still have great numbers. That being said what criteria does the league use to define MVP or the overall importance the player has to the teams success along with production. If that is the criteria then you could put Jacobs, LT, Hasselback, Favre, and even Westbrook into the fray though with the Eagles not making the playoff Westbrook gets knocked off though he is what makes that team go.

I agree but I'm not giving it to him over Brady. Guy's a stud though no doubt.

Not to take anything away from Brady but don't see how he could get the MVP of the team considering he was there last year. It's obvious the addition of Moss, Welker, Stallworth is what made the offense click.
