What are the chances Favre ends up with Minnesota this year?

I'd say better than 50-50

The most prominent local sportswriter has already stated it will happen.

The fact that Favre said he remains retired "at this time" should be a huge hint to all of us. If he wanted to stop the rumors, he certainly did not have to include those three words

The fact that Favre demanded his release from the Jets. Why, if you intend to remain retired would you care?

The fact that all sports teams are trying to find a way to get fans in the seats and a Favre return with Minnesota would guarantee a season of sell outs for a team looking for ways to get fans in the seats.

I have VERY mixed feelings on this. If he ends up getting the bicep surgery in the near future, buckle your seatbelts because that should tell us all we need to know.

The only chance of him coming back will be after the season has already started and it is for a team that has a chance to win but their QB goes down with injury. If not then he stays retired.

Disagree completely with this. He either comes back before the season starts or never comes back. He's going to learn a whole new offense while the games are going on?

The surgery on the biceps will be the key. It sounds like he would have to have that done to return. If he hasn't had that done before the season, he's not going to do it while the season is going on and recover and then learn the offense and become the starter

I hope his chances are 0. Maybe he'll get into an ATV accident or something... one can only hope.

Only the dumb ones. If he plays the way he did with the Jets with the Vikqueens this year, I'll love him. Two easy wins for GB.

I personally believe he has no interest in having the surgery so he will let time work on his side instead. As for learning a playbook this is not a kid, it didn't take him that damn long to get the Jets playbook last year when he joined so late in camp so I don't see that being an issue at all. The biggest issue in my mind is he will have no interest in coming back unless it is a team that has a chance and the likelihood of a team that has a chance but an injury pops up is a good one which will give him that chance and more time to let the injury heal and avoid surgery.

Don't think winning means that much to him to come back as simply a backup. I think if there is any hope it will be as a starter but for a team he believes has that chance of winning the Super Bowl. Now if Brady goes down in Week 1 then I would not be surprised at all to see Favre the starter by Week 3 for the Pats, lol!!

no quarterback joins a team midseason and expects to get pt

ok lets repeat, no qb can join a team midseason and expect to see playing time

its irrational and retarded

Vinny with your own Carolina team. Dude this was right in your own backyard and you can't think of this. Reputation about knowing foots? Maybe heed your own advice first

No quarterback goes on national TV crying about how he is retiring and then holds his team hostage a few months later and says ooops I was only kidding. This is not a normal guy if you have not figured that out yet
