What has Chicago done to Jay Cutler?

i know the usual san diego cheerleaders will come in with their bullshit haterade, but to the rest of you:

jay cutler wasn't a top 5 QB last year, but IMO he made the top 10. has all the tools a good QB needs. last year he was third in passing yards with 4526 yrds he is nowhere even close to getting to that number this year!

Granted he had a great reciever in brandon marshall and the rest of the denver receiving corps wasnt too shabby either, but orton this year has a 10x better defense, a decent running game, yet i dont believe he has come close to touching those numbers

things i saw this bears game:

1)NO running game. absolutely none!

2)Receivers are absolutely terrible. don't know how to run routes and can't get in position to make a catch. Granted Cutler missed 3 easy TD passes that could have went for 14 pts, which brings me to my next point.

3)Lovie smith does NOT know how to handle a QB, let alone one thats supposed to be the savior of the franchise. Cutler comes in with all this unwarranted pressure, and look at how he has developed since then. The playcalling was absolutely brutal tonight, Cutler was scared of being Cutler and Love Smith was scared of doing anything with the ball. That lack of confidence seeps into your quarterback. who was calling the offense tonight? who was the leader? certainly not cutler, nor anyone else on the field

to be honest i have no idea where this bears franchise is headed but it obviously has no idea. they cannot build around cutler neither develop him into a decent quarterback. in fact, i think its pretty obvious he's regressed since last year. the numbers speak for themselves. if this ends up as being one of the biggest trade busts of all time, it falls on the bears coaching staff and orginization as a whole

just my 2 cents

Why do you feel Jay Cutler is a head case?

Yes, I live in Chicago. He has started every game, and I have watched all of them.

I did not formulate an answer to him being a head case from your rhetorical question.

So let me ask again, why do you feel he is a head case?

eh, I feel there is one head case here. That is the guy who is insulting someone else to cover up his insecurities about his own issues.

the way he carries himself, his lack of leadership, his overestimation of his own talents, his losing mentality, his childish reactions to bad plays, his tendency for multiple turnover games, his tendency for redzone turnovers and his overall unstable behavior on the football field. done now

This sounds like you are describing Phillip Rivers.
He plays quarterback for the San Diego Superchargers.

We are talking about Jay Cutler in this thread.

Thanks...
