Disagree that Rivers would fit into Pitt Offense..Ben makes plays after the pocket breaks down. He is very very strong and sheds DLine like they are girls. IMO, Rivers would not be able to do this, he is more of a dropback and sling it type of guy

Also dont think Ben fits into SD offense either. Both are suited where they are. Alot of times though, being able to stay alive that extra 1.5/2 sec makes plays that changes gms

Everyone talks about the scrambles etc that big Ben makes, how about how many more plays rivers can make with his arm. So big Ben makes some great plays here and there, but he also misses a lot too.

Everyone states big Ben made those couple key plays last game even though his numbers were bad. Well maybe if he played better he would not need to make those plays because they would be in even better shape.

It goes both ways. Sweetleaf claims he is one of the best, BS. He makes some nice plays but he sure as he'll misses a lot too.

Props to the guy because getting to 3 SBs in 5 years is awesome, and he is a good qb, great? I think not.

No I said a good qb, but tell me why he is a great qb? Besides being on great teams that have been defense oriented. He is good and has made some great plays, but overall I think he is good not great. The only reason people say he is great is because of 2 SBs, nothing more, certainly not his individual play. To me that is a good qb.

I understand your point but what "great" OB didnt have other "great" aspects of their team around them?

Montana's offense was absolutely incredible
Bradshaw's defense was some of the best ever
Aikman's O-line and star power (big three) was legendary
Brady's defense in his winning years (plus BB's brain) was incredible

I just listed them cuz those are the only 3-time winners

The thing that impresses me about Ben is the guy friggen makes plays. You say he misses a lot too but cmon, you cant make EVERY play and when the game is on the line it kinda seems like he does make EVERY big play. He's not flashy at all which people don't like but he forces defenses to come at him differently because of his size and his mobility with that size. He's great at throwing on the run and in big, hotly contested playoff games so many plays break down and the play becomes a scramble to get something and thats where he excels.

Ya he was kinda shitty in his 1st super bowl but thats a little expected (not expected but forgiveable I guess) but he was nails in the 2nd and if I remember correctly he lit Denvers ass up in his first AFCCG.

Im not saying he is the best ever, but if he wins this weekend I dont see how you cant give him at least the "great" title. He will have deserved it IMO
