What Are NE and NYG Expected To Do With Their Starters

I know they usualy try to keep it hush hush, but the fact ny has nothing to gain from this other then stoping an undefeated regular season.

Personaly as a coach in his position id be more concerned about wining in the playoffs, and keeping my job. If he beats the pats thats good, but if he loses in the first round anyways hes likely job hunting. Even more so if he loses more starters in the pats game.

Plax needs the rest for sure, hes their only playmaking wr and the only one that consistantly holds onto the ball.

NE goes for history and they dont have a normal coach, so im expecting them to play at least through the third.

Any info on either side would be appreciated

I heard this morning that both teams will play their starters while game is competitive. Also that Manning would play most of the game as long as he is not being killed. lol

Not sure how accurate this is but I think it's probably close

I think the Giants owe it to "history" to play it like it's meaningful although your points are fair (playoffs are much more important)

If the Giants play their regulars they are morons I know they can't sit everybody, but their only obligation is to be ready come next weekend in their first playoff game. Putting Eli in there if he is not going to have his regular skilled position players or regular OLine is setting him up for even more failure and right now that is not something this kid needs with how fragile he seems right now heading into a playoff game against a very good Bucs defense.

Pats on the other hand have historically played their starters in their last game of the season when they had a bye in the first round of the playoffs and I see no difference this week especially with what I truly believe was a goal this team set for itself after Spygate happened earlier this year.

This is the logical move. Giants can likely do nothing more than embarass themselves before an important game coming next week. NE likely takes an early lead and forces the Giants to the bench, which would benefit both teams.

The only angle for the Giants is that it's a home game, and that winning this would make history for them -- a much more important aspect IF they were NOT in the playoffs.

Brady needs 2 TDs, you can count on him getting them...Eli....jeezus i almost feel bad for the guy, they would do themselves a huge favor to bench him in this game

actually the Giants winning this game will be looked at more important than them winning a playoff game and not going to the Super Bowl. Plus if they do win or play NE tuff it will give them confidence going into the playoffs. Keep in mind that the Giants are not expected to do anything in the playoffs just like you don't expect them to win this game. So why not have 2 shots at proving everybody wrong instead of only 1?

No

Failing to get a playoff win very very likely = a new coach, no mater what the outcome of the pats game. They are also going to have to look into a new qb as an option, strahan bouncing doesnt help them any either.

It would simply just be a 'he cant win when it counts' thing, ny fans are f*cking finicky and they wont be having it

Tell that to the rest of the teams this week who are sitting down some regulars because the game doesn't mean anything compared to the games they start next weekend. This is not about respect this is about respect for your team and your fans to have your team as ready as it can be going into the real season of the NFL the playoffs. I guess if Payton Manning and company sit tomorrow night they are all pussy shits as well?

Hard to pick a side, I don't know if the Giants are going to show up or not. Don't know what they have to gain. NE wants the record. I'm going with the Over 24 (1st half).
