Question What went wrong for the Chargers in 2010

lets reflect a bit...what went wrong that was in their control...so dont mention injuries

what is within their control to change for next season...at all levels...coaching, front office, players

discuss

very early lean for next years future bet

Green Bay should be Super Bowl favorite next season....scary to think but the defense is going to be deeper and better in 2011 (assuming there is a season). They'll also return the #1 RB and #1 TE in Grant and Finley.

Not sure I can pinpoint one particular fault with San Diego this year other than the inability to establish an effective run game day in and day out. Their defense was also very unpredictable this season.

Special teams were awful! i also think they will never win the big game with norv turner! I also think they rely on rivers too much they missed a rb like LT

They need roids. Or a strength and conditioning coach.

I dont really know to be honest...but with missing the playoffs their schedule shoudl be easier next year

I can only blame focus, inconsistent, usually that falls on either a few players (bad apples) that need to go or parts of the coaching staff or the HC

Their special teams cost them 3 games.

Norv Turner might need to to go. Shake things up

I think its the ownership. This team has been in the top 5 the last 3 years. It may have something to do with motivation but it also may be that they need to bring in a new OC. Its a business and I have to wonder if the owner is pulling some shit behind the scenes. It makes no sense that they are not playing in the playoffs. Maybe they ought to turn the offense over to Rivers next season. Let him call all the plays and audible as needed. At times it seems like Rivers is either waiting on a call or confused on the call coming in from the side lines. The kid has plenty of experience let him run the offense, the OC can give him 3 different plays but something needs to change. I hate to say it but if I was Rivers I would not sign another contract with SD. He could travel north up the coast to SF now that Harbaugh is there. I hate when a franchise QB jumps ship but SD doesn't seem to be able to get over the hump. The kid could get a ring playing on several teams. To me he is the best fundamental QB in the NFL. Its between Rivers and Rodgers but I like watching this kid play. Interested in what rjb has to say.
