Whose Looking Forward To The Combine?

I am not one of the people who believes an atheletes performance at the combine should determine their draft postition

I could give two shits if you run a 4.4 flat as a DB if you cant read routes, have no hands, cant understand defenses and cant tackle.

Ill take a football player (aka game day play maker, watch the tape not the stats) over a great athlete any day

Better to have football smarts and football speed than track speed

But with that said, I cant wait for the combine

Partly b/c of the enormous football drought partly b/c of draft influence

They should include an aptitude test for QBs. I Think that is as indicative as anything else for a QB

Never a big fan of the combine. Bores me to watch it. Found a guy at work with a HUGE DVD selection of old games to tide me over for the offseason football drought. Just watched the old Bills-Niners game from 92 with no punts

of course the combine is exciting. it gives football fans another reason to pay attention. combine performance dont "determine" a draft position so to speak. they are just an opp for about 10% to either shine above expectations or fly below expectations. Most scouts know what to expect, but the combine is flatly there for the unexpected. i believe it should be done and is a nice extra asset for teams to use in their arsenal on draft day
