Why is everyone and their mom....

picking the vikings this weekend? I've seen everywhere from 80 to 99 percent of the public money on Minnesota. Line seems fishy. I see a couple good cappers on the forum on them too though. I'm staying away, as I don't think I could pick those Browns in week 1.

I guess I am one of those 99% and yes it does scare me but everytime I look at this game I just can't see the Browns winning this game outright and in the NFL 85% roughly if you pick the winner of the game outright with a line of 7 or less then you also pick the spread winner as well. I just don't believe the Browns have done enough in their run defense that AP won't be a huge factor which only opens things up for Brett Favre off of playaction and one on one coverage downfield. The one area that always does concern me with when going against the Browns is Joshua Cribbs, this guy can change field position and momentum very quickly in the return game.

When Cleveland proves something I'll be impressed. Other than that, since the Williams brothers CAN play, I'll take the Vikes and their improved offense/defense.

Like I said it was on one of the sites I saw. I didn't say that was a fact. I've seen a lot of different numbers is all. Either way the number is really high.

Why? Here's my take.

Wk 1 @ CLE and Wk 5 @ STL are two key games that will decide their fate to either enter the playoffs a Wildcard or as a Div Title holder.

MIN has a very tuff start to this season. Wk 9 is their Bye. 'Til then they will play 5 Road Games and 3 at Home. They will more likely be .500 midway at the most. Their second half of the season is much easier and be granted the Wilcard.

So, they have to do the best they can in this first key game and come out with a W as BAL, PIT and GB (maybe x2) are sure losses.
