Why no talk of Cedric Benson being MVP?

The guy is torching everyone. The Ravens had a streak of like 40+ games without giving up a 100 yard runner and Benson has done it twice.

Palmer has been decent this year, nothing spectacular though. Benson and an improved defense are the reason they are 6-2 and on the brink of a hell of a turnaround from last year.

Pains me to say it (since it was the Bears that let him go) but he's the real deal and deserves to be in the MVP talk right there w/ everyone else.

Because just like Denver, no one is giving Cincy the respect it deserves. All they keep doing is winning, but because they're not undefeated, they fall under the Breeses & Mannings. It's a shame really, because CB is having a fantastic year.

He's having a good year but with Favre, Peyton, and Brees having their success everyone else is an after thought.

PLus when it comes to RB's, AP will always get first votes.

well because he's not having a year like Manning or Brees, and they're not undefeated and he's not the reason they're winning. The resurgence of 85, along with Palmer and that defense is why they are winning

Carson Palmer, OL, and the defense are the reason the Bengals are winning. They would have the same record with or without Cedric Benson. Throw Reuben Droughns back there he'd probably have similar numbers lol.

What is Benson at now, near 4 yds per carry?

Screw it. Keep the awards. This team enjoys the "no one wanted us mentality." They have a lot of players like that. Chris Crocker, Roy Williams, Ced Benson, Tank Johnson. I want everyone to keep thinking this is the same old Bungles.

And yes, hitting 100 plus yards twice against a team that had not allowed it in 40 games is impressive. Dont care what the haters say.

lmao you guys can't be serious. palmer is playing above average, that's about it. their defense and benson are reasons 1A and 1B, and you're not going to consider an entire defense for MVP

there is no way palmer is having the kind of success he is having now without benson keeping defenses honest the way he has. he's gained more yards this season than AP. 3 less touchdowns yes, but a more portent offense in minnesota than cincy.

you can think what you want to about rhe ravens defense and call them overrated, but he is still the first player in 12 years to have 2 100 yard games against them in the same season. lol @ saying droughns would have similar stats

carson palmer hasn't even thrown for 300 yards yet this season. he threw 5 TDs against the bears (everyone does that now in case you didn't notice) and other than that his numbers are quite pedestrian.

they are winning because of defense 1A and benson 1B
