Will Brett survive the entire season?

Does he play in every regular season game this year?

Do the Vikes make the playoffs?

IMO he is not going to come close to last years performance and these guys are gonna miss Rice big time.......he should of walked away IMO.......I don't think he makes it through the season and they miss the playoffs.

My feeling is No

and No.

Man, to think he was just one play away from what would have been among the most legendary seasons in NFL or sports history....onto the Super Bowl vs. Indy.

I don't see his ankle holding up the whole season

He's a warrior, but looked like he had a rusty ankle. He will miss Rice.

Of course he won't match last years performance..

Agree he should have walked away.. and I am sure it was hard for him to comeback knowing how big of a ego the guy has, but winning a superbowl for his "legacy" is just too much for him to turn down...even if he hurts his image trying.

If he can walk he will play. It's rediculous to think he will come close to last year, his best year ever, without his top WR, being a year older dealing with an injury, and older and slower OL. It's gonna be close if they can get a playoff spot. Every team in their division is getting better and the Vikings didn't improve at all

Also worth adding that just about everything went right for him last year... I can't remember ever seeing a QB with so many wide open looks 20-30yds down the field as he has last year... was unreal.

Of course he is going to miss Rice, he was one of the best receivers in the league last year, how could he not, pretty obvious statement. Of course he should have walked away, hes 40 and just had ankle surgery, and had no intention of playing in training camp or preseason for that matter. Sorry throwing flag patterns to high schoolers while wearing cargo shorts doesnt prepare you for an NFL season. That being said "should have walked away," also a pretty obvious statement. As far as making the playoffs, Id like to see them play more than 1 game, in which they lost by only a score to the defending champs before I make a prediction on that.

I agree that it's rediculous to think he will perform at the same level or better than last year, but as an organization and as a Viking fan don't you expect somewhere close to last year? Why else do you pay him an ass load of cash and expect to go to the Super Bowl if you expect to get an "average" season? I am not saying it's going out on a limb to say he won't outperform last year's season, but I think many expected/still expect close to the same.

Also wanna add that I fully acknowledge it's only one game, hence the question of "predicting" what will happen.

Well... the drop-off is pretty significant if they don't go with farve... and I don't know much about how much wins are worth $ wise ( fans...tv etc etc whatever ) so I am sure that has something to do with the payday, because they end up losing a handful with the bums that are behind him.

Personally don't see how they passed on clausen seeing how farve will be expired very soon anyways, but that is another story.
