Post Will these NFL individual statistical records be broken in 2011??

There are plenty of records sure to be broken this season with some of the stats being put up. Of the major ones, these few stick out.....what do you think? Are they broken this year?

Sacks record: 22.5 set by Michael Strahan in 2001
- After seven weeks, Jared Allen (MIN) has 11.5 sacks

Highest completion percentage in a season: 70.623 set by Drew Brees in 2009
- After seven weeks, Aaron Rodgers is at 71.5% and Drew Brees is at 70.9%

Most passing yards in a season: 5,084 set by Dan Marino in 1984
- After seven weeks, Drew Brees has 2,477 and Aaron Rodgers has 2,372

I find these to be quite crazy....not sure it will be broken anytime soon.

Most consecutive games with field goal made: 38, Matt Stover, 1999–2001
Most pass receptions, season: 143, Marvin Harrison, 2002

Given we are one week from the midway point, I'd say that all three records have a good shot of being broken. Jared Allen deals with double teams so who knows....

Too bad Favre isn't around to take a dive to help break the record for a second time

also the rushing touchdown record by a QB. Cam Newton may break that this year. I believe he will actually.

Even as a rookie Cam Newton has on outside chance of getting close to the Marino record he has to throw alot as they are and will be playing from behind and he has proven that Carolina has confidence in his arm and decision making I think he gets to 4000 yards no problem
