I think the loss tonight deflated Brady. Because the AFC East is so weak, the Patriots will easily continue to be a playoff team and Brady will be moderately productive, but his Superbowl run is over IMO

True on every point you made. But I think teams will scheme harder from now on to pressure Brady. As great as he is, he can't take it.

Well, He has been in 3 of the last 4 and he won 2 of them. The 3rd was a great game that went right down to the wire. He had the fumble late but there was no guarantee they were going to score on that drive anyway. He threw for a record 505 yards with 3 TD's and no picks against a great defense that only gave up 17 points in their 2 previous playoff games combined. He came back from down DD several times and got them the lead with 5 or 6 minutes left. He did his job today, the defense did not. Nobody I know will blame Brady for that loss.

For a guy that just won the MVP and put up video game numbers in a SB, I wouldn't bet against it. They get a healthy Edelman and Hightower back next year too, so why not.

well he threw for a playoff and sb record 505 yards, 3 td's, and 0 int's, not bad for being below par.

i totally agree wayne that this loss can't be blamed on brady but for him to win another sb ne has to get better on defense and imo they need more help there than just getting hightower back. but as dale said the afc east is weak and the afc in general is weaker than the nfc which helps ne rack up 13-3 or 14-2 records.

Hightower was a huge loss. He was the captain of that defense. Look how bad the Steelers defense was after they lost Shazier. One player can make a huge difference but I agree. Losing DC Patricia may be a blessing and I am sure they will work on that defense in the offseason. No worries as far as the offense is concerned. None.

Brady is too one dimensional. If he had played in an average team or below average team his entire career. He would be considered an average qb. Fools gold.

I wouldnt have him top 10 of alltime. But i dont expect anyone to agree with me.

Stick to rugby Dave because you are clueless when it comes to football. He has played with very few HOF players in his career and he has won with many different teams around him. The only constant with players on that team is Brady. Thank god you are not voting for the MVP because the guys who know about football did and he won the MVP easily. If that is sub par I want a lot more of it please.

actually i do somewhat agree with you here. i think belichick and brady needed each other . one couldn't be great without the other.

Can't you say that about every dynasty?

Aiikman needed Johnson
Montana needed Walsh
Bradshaw needed Knoll
Brady needed Belichick
Griese needed Shula
Staubach needed Landry

Notice a trend here? All HOF's maybe? That is the dumbest argument in the book. Now that that is settled, let's look at wins, titles and records. You will find Brady at the top of all of them.

brady runs a west coast offense better than probably every QB ever, maybe tie with Montana

he has a very quick rlease and very smart, reading defenses and getting the ball to the correct receiver

gimme a fucking break not in the top lol

as for can he win another, well of course, I dont know if he will but he will have more opportunities

yeah i get what you're saying wayne. aikman did win a sb with switzer after johnson left and montana won a sb with seifert after walsh left. it would be interesting to see if belichick or brady would win a sb without the other. i don't think we'll get to see brady have a chance to do it with another hc but belichick might have a chance to do it with a different QB someday.

belicheck already let his other qb go to sf. we'll prob never see either of them win another title for the rest of their career. both would still be in the discussion for goat in each position.

Just remember 1 thing vikes, Belichick is and always has been a defensive guy. He controls the defense and he is constantly meeting with the defense during the week and on the sideline. He isn't an offense guy and he doesn't pretend to be. He lets Brady and the OC handle that and Brady has been great with Charlie Weiss, Josh McDaniels and Bill O'Brien. All guys who have won with Brady but failed miserably without him.

if belichick is still coaching after brady retires do you think he will win a sb with a different QB?

Thought I read before that he never spent a dime of his salary, just lived off his endorsements. Probably sitting in a great financial situation.
