Worst NFL Game you ever lost

As we close in on championship weekend i was reminded of the worst nfl game ever for me. Cant remember the year exactly but maybe 1991 i had the oilers and was locked in at the half and watched it slowly die and lose. By the end of the game the tv was smashed on the floor as it was the most money i had ever had on a game

How bout you?

Worst lose was in the late 90's had the Steelers (my team) gettng pt at J'ville on a Monday night. Steelers inside the # line up for a 40+ yarder and I am thinking win win even if he misses I win my bet. Low and behold the fg blocked and I was

Certainly one the worst was in the 2008 season Panthers VS Giants on Sunday night.

I had taken a beating and was looking to make a major recovery on the sunday night game which I loved

I had the panthers +4 HUGE

And money line to add some icing to the cake but all I need is that +4 to cover

So the panthers jump to a 21-10 lead and I am feeling strong

It ends up 28-28 in OT..but no biggy I have +4 I'm good right?

Well after the each have a possession this is what happened

On first-and-10 from the 13, Ward went 51 yards to Carolina 36. Three plays later on third-and-7, he went 14 yards to the 19 and followed that with a 17-yarder to the 2. Jacobs scored on the next play.

34-28 giants with a MAJOR financial disaster ...ugh

kingokap i remember that play i won a 1st half block pull when that happen so i was happy plus i had the steelers for a bet too so it was a win for me.
neil same thing i had the giants -4 and yah i was thinkin like you i hope they dont go for a field goal and break a huge play to the endzone and they almost did when they got it to the 2 yrd line, and i was praying that they would'nt kick it and just punch it in and they did.
i have had alot of losses, i guess the one nfl gm that would qualify would have to be a gm back in the 90s when the bills were gonna win or cover and they were on the 3 yrd line and they threw a pick6 or fumbled it and it was returned for a score and that cost me a big bet but other than that one i cant remember anything else...

this is my #1 also as it was one of the most blatant attempts to have a game end with a certain ATS result (Pitt won either way just by how much was the difference)

Find me ONE...ANY other instance where the booth upholds the call on the field but is then OVERTURNED by the guys on the FIELD!!!!!!

If you don't believe that was a fix, then explain to me why it is that the refs did not take as much time as necessary to contact the NFL and find out how the rules work...it was only later that they admitted, 'Gee I guess I was not supposed to overturn the booth call'. Right

also have to offer props to ref in chargers denver game last year when the obv fumble was whistled dead instead of being played out...funny how the refs are so trained to know everything except that a "close" fumble should not be whistled dead so it can be reviewed. Gee I wonder...right it was just a "mistake" LOL

cant believe you guys put that charger steeler game at the top of the list...

werent the steelers not covering even once in that game untill that final polomalu td which was overturned?

Ill say 75% of Colts games the last few years most memerorbly @ Texans with super shane crashing the helicopter to complete the ending of the choke to blow a 17? point 4th quarter lead to win by 4 and cover the 3.5.

http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/200810...5/colts@texans

I can name others just as bad probably lol,

noteables
Sep 21 IND 27 @ MIA 23 2009
Sep 14 IND 18 @ MIN 15 2008

my bad for mentioning more then one

i still say the tennessee music city miracle was a forward pass, every time I see it I look at where it was thrown and where it was caught, you can never convince me that that was not a forward pass. Needless to say, I had the bills, and they didn't cover,

Her are a few details of my 5 dime debacle

The January 3, 1993, (1992 season) NFL playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Oilers (also known as "The Comeback") featured the Bills recovering from a 32-point deficit to win in overtime, and it remains the largest comeback in a playoff game in NFL history. (The largest comeback in a regular season game still remains the San Francisco 49ers comeback from a 35-7 deficit in the second quarter against the New Orleans Saints on December 7, 1980.) The game is also remembered for being won by the Bills backup quarterback Frank Reich.

It was played in Rich Stadium, and was televised by NBC, with Charlie Jones and Todd Christensen calling the action. The stadium did not sell out for this game and was therefore blacked out in Western New York and Southern Ontario. As a result, local fans did not get to see the game broadcast on TV.

Worst NFL beat I ever had....

2007 Browns @ Ravens. I hit the Ravens money line at like +135 or something. Anyhow, Ravens were losing then made a comeback and took a 3 pt lead. Browns drove the field and the refs called a missed FG by Phil Dawson cause it looked like it bounced off the crossbar. I started celebrating, talked shit to UVA via txt msg only to receive texts back 15 minutes later that they reviewed the play and it was in OT. Ravens ended up losing.

That honestly was my worst beat ever. I made sure refs waived no good, and did not think they could review that. boy was i heated cause that would have been a huge momentum gain for me in the football season because I came off an Arizona upset win over Oregon that same weekend. Anyhow, spiraled from there rest of year.
