You should all love the new kickoff rule.

At first I hated it, but I wasn't thinking if we would benefit from it or not.

Sure makes CAPPIN A LOT EASIER !!

Surprised more people haven't talked about this.. hell I haven't heard it once. Just bitching about the change.. which I happen to think is bad for the game itself as well.

I think it depends. Some kickers can boot it out of the end zone, while others can make it 5 yds deep. Some returners will bring it out, and some wont. Once you figure out who brings it out, who doesnt and the kickers I think that will help

Sitting in the front row of the endzone must be more exciting now.

Why do you think all the overs is only because of he kickoff rule?

Not thinking as much about totals.

More about not having to worry about good/bad field position as much during a game which ends up showing up on the scoreboard. Some more than others (KO returns... guy fumbling etc etc).

Love it, Steelers have usually had below average kick coverage teams, ie teams have killes Pitt since the days of eric metcaff and dave meggett, Jermaine Lewis, josh cribs, etc... teams now have to go 80 yards on the against Lebeau's defense and its a huge advantage............!!

any pro kicker can kick it out of endzone. Scoring is up because offenses are big play happy now.

I agree with the field position comment but I disagree that the rule is the reason for all the overs...with a short pre-season and training camps it will take defense a little longer to get into shape, offense always comes faster than defense we will see it balance out in the next couple weeks
