2010 NBA Playoffs Thread

NBA Playoffs 2010

This will be my official thread through this years NBA Playoffs. All lines and available propositions will come from Sportsbook.com

Eastern Conference

Cavaliers (61-21, 35-6 Home) L4 vs. Bulls (41-41, 17-24 away) W3
Game 1 3:00 PM ET, April 17, 2010
Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, OH

Preview
Cavalier's clearly come into this contest well rested, what impact that will have will soon be determined. The Bulls come in on a roll, playing for their Playoff lives, they clearly earned the right to be here, and have no fear. I would not be surprised if the Cavalier's flexed their muscle and took care of the Bull's in 5. I see the Cavalier's winning in 6, losing games 3 and 5. If the Bull's manage a split in Cleveland...panic could set in

Bulls will win if...
The Bulls can eliminate Shaq from having a presence. Rose can get 30 ppg-10 apg, Noah can give them multiple opps on the offensive end, and Deng can have an impact. Hinrich and Gibson are the x-factors.

James gets into the mode of going all James all the time, if he has more misses than the next player atts. Reducing rotation actually brings Cavaliers back to the pack and benefits Bulls. Williams and Parker backcourt least productive in the East, Combined to go 18.5 ppg, 7.0 ast in March.

Cavaliers will win if...
Cavaliers clearly the deeper and more talented team. James having <20 atts means Cavaliers are scoring from every position on the floor. Shaq is dominate in post, and they make Rose work. Hickson is the x-factor, he has played along side Shaq all season, going away from that just because its the Playoffs, could have a negative impact.

Bulls don't survive early punch in the mouth. If the Cavaliers force their will and don't let up, this could get ugly and be over early. Rose will get his, the manner in which he does so will be key. If no one else steps up, Rose won't stand a chance doing it alone.

Preferred Plays Game 1

Bulls(Chicago) +11.5 Over 193.5
I think the Bull's manage to stay close, not sure what Shaq can give, I say they go at him early. If James takes over 25 shots, Bulls could steal one.

1Bulls(Chicago) 1stHalf +6.5
Cavalier's tend to let teams back into games in Q2, Bull's take first punch, make a run to hang around.

Cavaliers1Q(Cleveland) -3 (-130)

Betting on the home crowd alone here, James to be aggressive early to make huge opening statement.

Series 6 Games Cavaliers Win +400

Propositions for the Cavaliers vs Bulls Game

Bulls vs Cavs - Over/Under Largest Lead of the Game
Largest Lead Under 19.5 (-125)

Milwaukee Bucks (58-36) vs Atlanta Hawks (53-29)

Eastern Conference

Hawks (53-29, 34-7 Home) W1 vs. Bucks (46-36, 18-23 away) W4
Game 1 5:30 PM ET, April 17, 2010
Philips Arena, Atlanta, GA

Preview
Hawks come into this years playoffs healthy, focused, and determined. They were basically down 3 starters when swept by the Cavaliers in the 2nd round last year. The addition of Crawford, who is making his 1st appearance in the playoffs, adds significant depth. Bucks will be without Bogut, who fueled their run to the playoffs. Jennings and Salmons will have to carry them to have any realistic chance.

Bucks will win if...
Jennings and Salmons combine to go for 50+ ppg, Hawks have a significant injury, or a complete meltdown. Without Bogut, they have no realistic chance, unless Thomas plays above himself. Stackhouse could be x-factor

Hawks will win if...
They stay true to form, be aggressive, attack the basket with Smith, the absence of Bogut, should make this easier. Keep the pressure on and don't let up. Crawford is the x-factor, should have a great 1st playoff series. Hawks should win in 5.

Preferred Plays Game 1

Hawks(Atlanta) -8.5

1Hawks(Atlanta) 1stHalf -4.5

Hawks1Q(Atlanta) -2.5

Series 5 Games Hawks Win +150
I don't see the Hawks sweeping, even wo/Bogut

Series 6 Games Hawks Win +350
Covering myself here, I can see the Hawks giving away one

Brandon Jennings (Bucks) Total Points+Assists - Must Start
Points+Assists Over 18.5 (-115)
