according to John Salley...
On Spider and the Henchmen podcast I heard Salley say that Chuck Daly the coach of the Pistons bad boys, would tell the players before EACH game what the pointspread was for that night. Salley said he never knew why Daly would tell them each game but he thought it was for motivation especially when they were the underdog.
thought it was interesting
