Another system play tonight - won 4 in a row.

Love this game tonight ....

Chicago +1 over Golden State

One thing we know for sure - Chicago is going to KILL Golden State on the boards tonight. Chicago is the 2nd best rebounding team in the whole NBA - and GS is the second-worst. On Wednesday, the Pacers (of all teams) even killed GS on the boards. This is a key statistic, because GS doesn't shoot the lights out as well on the road. The only thing that could keep them in this game is if they hit lots of 3's - and I just don't see them doing that on the road. Plus, Chicago will shoot very well because of the lack of defense that GS plays - which is a big help for them. The Bulls struggle more against teams that play solid halfcourt defense, because Gordon is just about the only guy that creates his own shot. They do much better against running no-D teams by crashing the boards with Wallace, Nocioni, Deng, Noah, Thomas, Smith, etc. and getting putbacks. I also think Chicago might be better without Hinrich and his erratic shooting. So Hinrich missing the game isn't really as big of a deal as one might think. In fact, it just means more time for Duhon - who can "D" up with Davis or Jackson. Add to the fact that the Bulls are on national TV and trying to regain their form.....

Love this game tonight. Good luck everyone.

Thanks for that cheerful reply. LOL

The first trend is interesting - but if you look closer, GS doesn't perform as well against good rebounding teams.

The 2nd trend isn't a surprise considering that the Bulls are 13-24 and those losses were against the likes of Houston, Lakers, Spurs, Portland, etc.

Like I said, though, if GS gets hot from 3-point range (and they are DEFINITELY capable of doing so), they'll win the game - but I think GS backers will be relying on that in a big way in this game, which is why I'll play the odds.

GL I like Chi +2 as well trap line here maybe. GS play well and Chi still just plain bad even last win Vs 0-11 Mia so that really mean nothing. I think right line should be GS -4 or 4.5

WT.

call me crazy but is chicago really a good rebounding team? maybe the stats suggest so, but they are a perimeter team and that lends to lots of long rebounds. just not convinced-- think the stats may be a little deceiving.

Just because they are a perimeter team (which I don't know that I totally agree with, but I see your point) doesn't mean that they are necessarily good rebounders. Phoenix and GS are good examples of perimeter teams that can't rebound at all.

Actually, Chicago is getting outrebounded tonight so far by GS - but it's largely because of what you're saying. GS is missing their long shots and getting O-rebs. Chicago is shooting 62% so there aren't as many rebs to get.

Missed one tonight.... Bulls just quit playing and hung their heads too soon. The effort vanished ... I think they wore out playing too uptempo.

i agree that the gs and phoenix are perimeter for sure, and i agree that teams like utah, san antonio are teams that rebound well and good matchups for these teams, but the bulls are perimeter based for sure. yeah wallace actually played well tonight, but they've got a bunch of misfit forwards and centers out there that can't figure out how to fit with the talented perimeter players because they all have no post game. at least sa has duncan to put the ball back in and outlet it to parker, the jazz have boozer and kirilenko to get it to a point guard like williams...but the bulls get the ball to hinrich and duhon. big difference.... i agree with a lot of your system plays, i just don't know if the bulls fit the type of team you look for.

...the bulls haven't had a post presence since...well since michael jordan. they lost tonight because they don't have a superstar like gs.
