Anyone else notice George Karl cover the spread?

Bulls favored by 2.5 Deng makes a free throw to make it 94-90 with 1 sec left. Karl takes a full time out draws up a lob for an easy layup just as time expires to make the final 94-92. Id love to hear his explanation on this one

I didn't see the game, but after reading about it, it raises an eye brow for sure.

This play actually made me like Karl a lot more. If I was coaching and had a chance to help those who supported my team win instead of losing I would absolutely do it. For as much as these guys make, I don't think it's too much to ask that you do all you can from the opening tip until the final buzzer, especially if it's in the best interest of your fans. I got screwed on a pointless three at the buzzer last week and thought it was ridiculous that the team I bet on lets them go down and shoot uncontested. I don't understand how Chicago can know that lots of those people paying their salaries are going to lose money if Denver scores and just allow them to score on an uncontested layup.
