B. Davis is my fav player to watch in the NBA. I guess that makes him my favorite player. How could he not be after watching the Dallas series the season before last?

Wherever he ends up I'll be watching that team. Love watching him play, and if Elton Brand stays in town they could have a team.

The L.A. Times reports that the Clippers have reached a verbal agreement with Baron Davis on a new contract. Davis' agent Todd Ramasar confirmed the news, though the deal cannot be finalized until July 9th.

The deal is expected to be for roughly five years and $65 million, a decent value in this market. Ramasar mentions playing with Elton Brand as a selling point for the Clippers, so Brand looks likely to stay. Corey Maggette is as good as gone. Davis' numbers are bound to be hurt some after leaving the Warriors' high-flying attack.

They allready have a team, this team had the worst injuries of any team in NBA history. Litterally. Everyone likes to pretend that the clippers always suck, but the truth is the they were one of the best teams in the league 2 seasons ago when everyone was healthy. They still have that core, and are likely to keep it.

Al Thorton barring some sort of sophmore jinx will be an elite player in this league.

Chris Kaman/Elton Brand combo when healthy is a lock to be tops in shot blocking

With an addition like Baron Davis at point this team is a sleeeeper of a team.

The numbers add up great. $65 - $17.8 = $47.2 million more than he had the day before.

I just didn't think Golden State would have a problem giving him $11.8 million a year for another 4 years...

Golden State is offereing Elton about 4 million a year more then the clippers are offering right now both 5 year deals.

The catch is, ive heard Elton gave his word to the clippers and opted out to give the team more money to sign another player, where then he would resign with the clippers for less.

Will he live up to his word?

Is he friends with Carlos Boozer? I'd be worried then...
