Smile Bryant, James, Wade: As simple as 1-2-3?

Ira Winderman is the beat writer for the Miami Heat and also writes for the Sun Sentinel. He is very down to earth and I always enjoy reading his stuff. I know there are some Wade haters and he has been off last couple of games but I thought this topic from his blog was interesting. Who would you place in these categories?

Friday, it's Heat-Lakers. Next week, there is a double dose of Heat-Cavaliers.
That makes this as good a time as any to get into Kobe, LeBron, Dwyane (yes, we know there are many others in the overall debate, but it's our game, so it's our rules).
Our view, for now:

Who is best right now?
1. James (the perfect combination of body and body of work).
2. Bryant (purest shooter of the three).
3. Wade (but there have been plenty of days lately when he's been No. 1).

Which will be the prize of free agency?
1. James (you can play him anywhere but center).
2. Wade (the youth counts for plenty).
3. Bryant (unless it's a win-now contender, then he moves up).

Where will history place them?
1. James (yes, he could accomplish nearly as much as M.J.)
2. Bryant (it's amazing how Colorado has been forgotten).
3. Wade (although multiple titles could change the order).

Which is the most dynamic presence?
1. Wade (when he has his moments, they're big moments)
2. James (as much slam as on anyone's dunks)
3. Bryant (seems to prefer to cool, calm, collected).

Which has the most complete skill set?
1. Bryant (shoots, drives, defends).
2. Wade (explosive, strong, smooth).
3. James (yet to make definitive defensive mark).

Which is most charismatic?
1. Wade (the smile, the commercials, always politically correct).
2. James (the 2010 free-agency comments aren't endearing).
3. Bryant (the Shaq feud, Colorado, Jackson's book haven't helped).

With one shot to win a game, the choice is…?
1. Bryant (done it more often than the other two combined).
2. Wade (a near lock to get to the line if he wants).
3. James (although his free-throw percentage is way up).

Agree with most of the article except stating that Kobe's always politically correct. Wade's probably the third best, but is definitely a special player. No question in my mind there's not another star player who plays with as much determination and heart.

Think he has under appreciated Bryant in most of the categories. I'd have him number one in all but 3....charismatic, dynamic presence and free agency.

kobe is the best right now and until lebron wins a title, he's not better. they've started hot, but they have in the past and they haven't done anything...very skeptical...his jumpshot is still terrible

any category that has wade ahead of lebron or kobe doesn't work for me...I think him being in top 3 MAY be an argument, but the top 2 are lightyears away from everyone else IMO

And Lebrons been D-in up since Olympics...

All 3 are great, tho obv

lebron shooting a better % than wade and kobe this year, and hes even over 80% from the line. How can anyone still be "skeptical"? Skeptical of what? This is an extremely over exaggerated statement.

skeptical that he can keep it up for an entire season, skeptical that his team can play like this in the playoffs, skeptical that his jump shot will ever improve

I agree with most of what was written.....

James should have won 2 MVP's already.....How Nash ever got those is beyond me....We are now seeing what kind of player he is when asked to play D along with the fact they don't run up and down as much....

Lebron brought his team to the finals....He was the team....When has Kobe ever done that....Replace Kobe and/or Wade with Lebron in the situations and those teams still win....Do the reverse and Cleveland struggles to make the playoffs...

Pfft....Are you telling me that Kobe would have taken his team of nobodies (a few years ago) and brought them to the finals from the East?

Thank you....We are talking what HAS happened as opposed to the possibility of something happening....

Kobe is great, no doubt....But no one, since Michael, does more for his team than Lebron....
