the way Lebron limped of the court has something to do with the drop, i think Cavs get thru but Magic will push them to 7

taking the magic now is not a good idea at all, you lost +300 in value

if thats what you like wait until they lose game 2

does anyone think its a better play to take

Cavs to win in 5 at +175
4 units to win 8 units

Cavs to win in 6 at +275
3 units to win 8.25 units

At worst its 7 units to win 8 units, which is a much better payout (+114) than -290

and if the price is right on either game 5 or game 6, i'll look for an opportunity to hedge with magic ML.

This is all of course assuming that three variables don't occur

1. Magic win in 4
2. Magic win in 5
3. Magic up 3 games to 2 going into game 6

Still anyone feel this is better value than

Cavs -290 to win the series
Cavs ML in game 5 or 6

please correct my math if i'm wrong

another alternative to get Cavs to win the series at a cheaper price than the -290 to -330 at various sport books

make these three bets

Cavs to win in 5 at +175
3 units to win 5.25 units

Cavs to win in 6 at +275
2 units to win 5.5 units

Cavs to win in 7 at +300
2 units to win 6 units

at worst you are spending 7 units to win 5.25 units (-133) if the Cavs win in game 5

and decent value with the two most likely scenarios

Cavs in 6
7 units to win 5.5 units (-127)

Cavs in 7
7 units to win 6 units (-116)

or you can adjust the unit totals based on what game you feel the cavs are most likely to win the series

either way doing this is a much better strategy than betting the Cavs straight up to win the series

OK embarrassed and proud to say that I consulted my teenage niece about how to best invest in this and all it costs me was an arcade fire tshirt and a Miley Cyrus CD. But here goes my final bets

Total Investment: 10.25 units

Cavs to win Series -275
8.25 units to win 3 units

Cavs to win in 6 +275
2 units to win 5.5 units

Basically this puts emphasis on the game I think the Cavs will win the series and at the same time buys insurance should they win in Game 5 or Game 7.

And if Orlando wins, then at least I get satisfaction of seeing Stern pee in his pants
