Professional sports handicapper Jeff Mattingly previews a Western Conference matchup between the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center.
At the time of this writing, the following Match Odds/Moneyline were available: Sacramento Kings (2.3, +130) and Los Angeles Clippers (1.7, -143)
Sacramento struggled in all aspects in a 94-83 road loss to the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night in dropping its eight game in nine tries. The Kings managed to shoot just 35.8 percent from the field and star Tyreke Evans finished 3-of-12 from the floor for a season-low 11 points. "For me, I need to pick up more offense, be more aggressive," he stated after the game. Last year's rookie of the year has a good chance of doing just that against tonight's opponent, averaging 23.7 points in three games against them during the 2009-10 season. The team is 3-4 ATS as an underdog.
The Kings will be playing their third Thanksgiving game since the team moved to Sacramento, posting a 1-1 record. The last time the franchise played on the national holiday was in 1996. Sacramento has a 1-6 record versus the Western Conference this year, including a 1-2 mark on the road. In order to pull off a victory tonight, the squad must continue to rebound the ball, ranking second in the league in offensive rebounds per game. This has led them to also rank second in the NBA in second-chance points, scoring 18.2 per contest.
