Danny Ainge-Idiot?

Can't see how you can give up your starting center at this point in the season for Jeff Green??

Perk is a UFA at the end of the season...he probably couldn't get him to sign a new deal

not an idiot, great GM, but this is a very questionable move because they always have the urgency to win now, so even if you cant sign him you keep his services for the remainder of this year

i am an ainge fan, but I think he gets WAY too much credit.....he was given KG for scraps, gave up the number 6 pick (Jeff Green) for an aged Ray Allen with 2 bad ankles (and got lucky that Ray stayed healthy), and has a record of completely terrible draft picks that have left him scrambling every year for depth by finding old players who want to win a title and signing them cheap for a year or 2......Other than Rondo the drafts have been horrible, and the cupboard is very bare when the big 3 leave in a couple years.....no pieces to trade, no reason to expect them to be able to restock via the draft.....so I guess Green helps them longterm if they want to get younger, but they have operated under the win now while the entire team is old philosophy that it seems very strange and pointless to try to switch gears now....
