Post discuss the future of your favorite NBA team

Just as a fan discuss the future of your favorite NBA team

Let me first say, Miami won't go far this year and probably won't get out of the first round.

But the future is so bright

D Wade
- top 3 player in league, getting better, still young
M Beasley - 19, 20 years and will be a top 10 player by next year. The National expectations won't be there but he is starting to come in to his own.
Mario Chalmers - Steal of the draft. How did this guy make it to the second round? PG for years to come
D Cook - still only 21 years old, pure shooter but still inconsistent

That's not bad to build around plus like everyone else Heat will have big time money in 2010 to add another big free agent. Hope we keep Haslem, guy is as steady as you get but eventually he will have to play behind Beasley

So I am excited as a fan for the Heat - they will be good for years to come!

Thoughts?

What about your team?

I'm afraid we would have to reinstate the basement for me to say what I really think of the local team here

We do have 3 1st round draft choices this year. Of course, with the Wolves luck, it's going to be the weakest draft in over a decade

The only question I have with Beasley is does he take quarters, games off?

I don't see enough or any NBA to know, but have seen his desire questioned in the media

No, not at all. His numbers are on reserve minutes. The guy plays hard non stop. His weakness is his defense and he has to go to the basket more but he is getting there

Yesterday, 26 + 16 rebounds and it looked effortless
