Seriously Jim Gray was hand picked because he was going to lick Lebron's ass and lob softballs to him.

The "bite the nails" question was just to set up the "people biting their nails waiting for your decision" remark.

Wasn't meant to be a smart question (although everyone knows Lebron has been a big nail biter) but Jim really wanted to get that set-up in there, as he was apparently impressed with his own cleverness and couldn't resist.
