Does Vince Carter still have what it takes to lead the magic to the championship?

This summer the magic parted ways with Hedo, and obtained Vince. In Vince they get an 8 time all star, but one who may very well be on the decline of his career. He has averaged about 17 ppg this season, that is 6 less than his career average, and 3 less than last season. His shooting percentage was also down. But my question to you guys is, does he still have what it takes to be the difference from teh magic team last year, that difference maker that gets them the championship?

Tell ya the truth I dont think Vince Carter EVER had "it". Hes renown for taking possessions /games off and I always think hes been overrated as a basketball player. Hes one hell of an athlete and can score the basketball but hes a volume shooter who doesnt do much else but throw in some highlight reel dunks. Do I think he's better than Hedo? Yes I think Hedo was overrated as well, but by no means do I think Vince is the difference maker that will get them to the championship.

I think the emergence of Redick off of the bench will be more of a factor then Carter.

I think he is more than a volume shooter. He also averages about 26 ppg in about 40 playoff games, which is quite good. But he is not the Vince Carter of old, so he cannot single handedly take over games at this point, which I think is what the magic need to get past teh Cavs this year. The Cavs are better than last year with the additions of Shaq and A.J. Magic have a chance, but relying on Howard alone will not get it done, Vince must rise to teh occasion for once in his life.
