Don't think I've ever seen a NBA playoffs......

With so few injuries. Maybe I'm not thinking it through correctly, but there seems to have been a real lack of injuries for the entire playoffs.
Obviously a good thing

Nowitzki's injury sustained tonight shouldn't effect him much.......





Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki said he tore a tendon in his left middle finger during Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday.

Nowitzki and the Mavs lost the game, 92-84, after LeBron James and the Heat pulled away in the second half.

Following the game, Nowitzki said he had an X-ray on his left hand and that nothing was broken. But he said he will need to wear a splint on the finger, which is on his non-shooting hand.

Nowitzki, chasing his first NBA title, scored 27 points to lead all players in the game.

"I'll be all right," he said afterward. "It's on my left hand."

James seemed to agree when asked about the injury, saying: "The left hand is just a guide hand, we all know that."

I know its not his shooting hand but in basketball your fingers get bent, jammed, etc. all the time. It will bother him to some degree, not sure how much. I had a fractured pinky in H.S. and 4 or 5 times a game it would get hit or bent, which hurt like a bitch, and after awhile you start trying to protect it which affects your play.
