Doug Collins To The Bulls

Nearly 20 years later, Doug Collins appears headed back to the Chicago Bulls.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported Thursday that Bulls are expected to name Collins as their new coach.

According to the report, the deal is expected to be announced “sooner rather than later.” The team had no comment on the report.

Collins coached the Bulls from 1986-89, taking the team to the Eastern Conference finals in his final season before being fired in a controversial move by owner Jerry Reinsdorf.

Collins, who currently serves as broadcaster for TNT, also has coached Detroit and Washington in his career. He owns a 332-287 record, including a 15-23 playoff mark

I really do not understand this move at all. Collins is a good coach but how about some new blood

this move makes ZERO sense for my bulls. After fukin up and not gettin D'antoni, they get collins who was quoted as saying, before the bulls won the lottery mind you, "I have no interest in returning to coach in this league."

The bulls have been waiting and waiting to sign Thibbadeu (sp?) from Boston and he ahs been pax's guy for a while...I don't understand this move one bit....When has Collins even won last? Jordan at age 20?


Paxson needs to go and Reinsdorf needs to relinquish control...fuk man.

collins was fired i believe for screwing krause's wife. krause is gone now so maybe it's ok again? sad thing is collins was replaced with phil jackson who wanted to keep coaching mj and the bulls, but morons who didn't want to pay the salary made them both go away
