I’m taking the New Jersey Nets to cover the game against the Boston Celtics. Boston has had a series of extremely difficult games lately and what they need the most it’s a break to rest and get healthy, after coming home from a long road trip they have faced the Mavericks, Magic, Lakers and Heat at home and now they will receive a less talented opponent however they are not likely to crush a Nets team that slow the pace and has a decent defense. To add to that the Nets have played decent basketball against the Celtics, covering 6/8 and the last 3 in Boston, that has happened thanks to different things, first of all the Nets present some matchup problems with Lopez in the middle, also it’s important to consider that in a game that is expected to be a low scoring with 2 teams in the bottom10 in pace factor the big spread it’s more likely to be too big as there are going to be less possessions.

Another thing that helps our case here is the fact that the Nets have a rebounding advantage which should give us some extra possessions on our side. While the Celtics can take this game to rest some of his starters the Nets have no time to waste to win even a moral victory. Consider that NJ is 4-2 ATS as a road dog from 9-12points this season and 16-5 the L3 while Boston is 0-3 this season already and 8-23 the L3.
