Which format do you prefer for the finals?

2-3-2

or

2-2-1-1-1

Prefer the 2nd one. They do it for the 1st 3 rounds really don't understand the reasoning for changing it. I think the travel excuse is BS considering how many 2-3 day breaks there has been in the playoffs and even in the Eastern/Western finals.

2-3-2 is better for some reason. If a team goes down 0-2 and they have 3 coming at home I think its a different mind set altogether. I've always preferred the 2-3-2 in any sport...especially in the finals.

its should be a 2-2-1-1-1, the 2-3-2 format is so stupid.

I hate shit like that. you play the whole ****in playoffs in a certain format then just change it in the finals.

and dont even get me started on baseball......

Finals format

2-3-2 format is just bs.. The fact that the team that does not have home court will get 3 games before the home court team does is not right...

2006 finals.. Mavs up 2-0.. Game 3 was so controversial, game 4 was a blow out.. Mavs coming back home to refocus would have been huge for game 5..but instead Miami gets another game there.. Just seems unfair.. When both teams win at home and the team without home court gets a 3rd game at home

I agree with most in here. 2-2-1-1-1 is the fairest way to do it.

I agree, the 2-3-2 is horrible and to me is just plain stupid. IF you do the first 3 rounds in the 2-2-1-1-1 format, stick with it in the final!

Personally, I do prefer the 2-2-1-1-1 format as I think it is how the best of 7 should work. You get no arguments from anyone in hockey who uses it for the finals.

232 leaves too much opportunity for the team w/o home court/field...

I prefer 2-2-1-1-1, but its all about the almighty dollar, wayyy to expensive to pack all the tv equipment on those later games back to back to back, that's why its done.
