The Lakers roster next year will look totally different than this year, they're signing all these guys to one year deals, next season's FA class is absolutely loaded and the Lakers will have a lot of cap room, there's no doubt they'll get at least one more star to play with LeBron.

Kings also sneaking another player away from a previous deal.

Yogi Ferrell backed out of a deal to stay with the Mavs to sign with the Kings.

Carmelo Anthony plans to sign with the Rockets once he becomes a free agent. Carmelo expected to get a one-year deal from the Rockets at the veteran's minimum of $2.4 million.

The Cavs have just signed Kevin Love to a 4 year 120M extension, I have no clue what that franchise is thinking

The Hawks sign Vince Carter to a one year deal. Trae Young was 3 months old when Carter was drafted in 1998.

Jimmy Butler has requested a trade from the Timberwolves

Butler has given Minnesota a list of one-to-three teams with whom he's open to signing extension, in anticipation of trade.

Butler has three preferred destinations for a trade, The Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks. Those three teams have max cap space to sign Butler as a free agent in July.

Towards the end of last season I started hearing rumors about Butler and Kyrie Irving wanting to play together in NY, I have a feeling that's what ends up happening, unless Irving changes his mind and wants to remain in Boston.

Miami Heat, Houston Rockets and Brooklyn Nets made aggressive offers for Jimmy Butler in last 36 hours. (Heat feel confident)

Cavaliers are prepared to make an offer

Did they have a prop of if Melo would make the reason with the Sprockets?

Soon to dumped

The Houston Rockets and Carmelo Anthony are seriously weighing his roster situation. Sides ruled him out tonight in San Antonio due to "illness" — after he practiced fully with team Friday, league sources said.

Will not play vs. the Pacesetters either

There are two reasons why Kyrie in Philly wouldn't work imo. First, Ben Simmons can't shoot, so if they play together Kyrie would have to play the 2 guard and allow Simmons to play the point, one of the reasons Kyrie wanted out of Cleveland was due to LeBron always handling the ball while Kyrie was forced to play off the ball, something he didn't like doing, he's a guy with incredible handles and it's hard for me to picture him willingly giving up ball handling duties, but in Philly he would have no choice since Simmons has to be the PG. BTW, this is also why I never bought into the Lebron to Philly talk for the same reason. Second, sure the Sixers have money to spend, but when their rookie contracts end Embiid and Simmons will want to get paid, and I don't know how they'll be able to resign Butler and sign Kyrie knowing at some point they'll have two more massive contracts to dole out.

Kyrie has said he plans on staying in Boston long term, but it's a long season and players have changed their minds before, a key to look for is whether Terry Rozier gets traded. Rozier will be a FA after the season and teams will throw a lot of money his way, the Celtics won't be able to afford him if they also keep Kyrie, there have already been rumors about Rozier potentially getting moved, if he does get traded that more than likely means Kyrie has told Danny Ainge he's staying, but if Rozier doesn't get moved, that could mean the Celtics are concerned about Kyrie leaving and would keep Rozier to be their starting PG next year.

Also, at this point we don't know how Butler will mesh with his new teammates, maybe for whatever reason things don't work out in Philly, remember this is a guy who wanted out of Chicago, then wanted out of Minnesota, there's no guarantee he'll be happy in Philly either, we'll see how it all plays out, should be a very interesting off season for sure.

I think Butler will fit well personally. He plays both ends of the court and think he realized that in both spots Chicago and Minny they didn't have much of a chance at a Championship. In Philly he has teammates that take the court with an attitude like his,Embid tries to destroy whoever he is going against, they become a better defensive team and quicker if you ask me.I agree that I don't see Kyrie in Philly.Trying to get Korver makes the most sense as far as needing a pure shooter that is available and wouldn't cost much.

I agree with you regarding Korver, the Sixers have lost a lot of three point shooters with Belinelli and Ilyasova from last year's team and now losing Covington and Saric. Redick is the only weapon they have from deep right now, they could really use a shooter like Korver.

Carmelo Anthony’s brief stop with the Houston Rockets is over, league sources tell ESPN. Anthony will part ways with team, although there are no immediate plans to place 10-time All-Star on waivers. Team announcement is expected before Rockets play Golden State tonight.
