Free Money #4

3-0 so far on the free money plays.

Lakers -200 to win the Western Conference (playoffs)

Should be more like -400 to -500

Who the hell is going to beat them unless an injury occurs? These guys should coast to the championship.

I think it is possibly a winner but that price is a rip off imo for a team with Josh Powell and Mbenga as your back up bigs. I love Gasols game and Bynums defense if healthy but teams will be testing the Lakers toughness more then ever in these playoffs. This wont be as easy as last year IMO, especailly cause all I hear lately, is that it will be.

The west is really weak this year but if i were the lakers i would not want to play the blazers in a series. An atheletic jump shooting team can get hot and win one on the road and the Blazers match up very well with the Lakers, plus the Blazers have motivation with the Ariza foul etc.

Also a team like the Nuggets ( even tho i think they get smoked tonight @staples ) will be a tough test for the Lakers , last i checked Chauncy Billups owns the Lakers in the playoffs.

I doubt anymore the Jazz could win on the road and Rockets and Spurs wont have a shot against the Lakers because the Lakers match up well with all those teams and a series wouldnt be close imo.

Even tho i doubt Laker fans will admit it , but id be rooting not to play the Blazers especially.

they looked pretty goot last night as expected, but i think the key for your bet is to have Powell and Mbenga to see as little action as possible in the playoffs.

laying-200 to win the conference is way too high, you'd be better off playing them round by round, or maybe if they somewhere find themselves behind or tied 2-2 you'd get much better odds
