Harangody
Unreal value pick by the Celtics that late. Guy dominated the competition for what seemed to be like 10 years. Guy has real upside being taken that late. Hes tough, can score, and rebound and developed a pretty decent jumper last year. Obviously undersized by so was Glen Davis who has developed into a nice player, Blair who played well in his first year, and I think this guy can be to their level or better. Love the pick, think its the best value pick in this draft thus far.

good value considering no gtd contract. Like the Heats pick of Butler in the 2nd round much better.

Always underestimating the white man. C's should move Allen for Matt Bonner straight up and start Rondo, Pierce, Harangody, Scal, Bonner unstoppable team. And if we could somehow get Morrison and Reddick, shrink the shorts 3 sizes, we'd be back to real Celtics basketball.

And you guys can make jokes about Harangody but lets be serious the guy did dominate one of the toughest conferences in D1 for 3 years averaging over 20 and 10 and dominating many of the players drafted before him ie dropping 31 and 14 on Wesley Johnson, you can not laugh or argue at that because its fact. And I know the NBA is a completely different game, and that's the reason why he got drafted so late. But what he lacks in athleticism and size he makes up for with strength and hustle. Now truth be told, the odds of him ever stepping on the floor for the Celtics or any other team are slim to none, but the same was said when players like Glen Davis and Leon Powe were drafted in the 2nd round and each have turned out to be good players despite their knocks coming out of the draft. Each in the same neighborhood size wise as Harangody, but neither with the skill, resume, or work ethic (as seen with the development of a decent jumper his senior year). My point here however was it was a good value pick, nothing more, in that it was no guaranteed contract and he has more upside that late than anything else. And truth be told, I like this pick 100x better than Avery Bradley who is now getting ankle surgery outside of the fact that we didnt need to be looking at a backup point in the 1st round.
