I rarely bet on the Mavs

But I will tonight.

Lakers are coming off a tough game with grizz and mavs had a little rest.

This game is huge for the Mavs and they are out to prove they're a contender.

Rarely play the teams I root for but tonight I will

2* Mavs -2 v Lakers

thanks upper

and id like to give a special shout out to Dirk. Could he go down as the most underrated player ever? He has to be one of them when talking about pure game on the court.

his defense is horrendous and will forever keep him out of the discussion of best player of his era.

if you want to make a list of best pure shooters, he'd be on it. but the rest of his game is poor.

with all that said, i still love watching the guy play. and i hate watching the nba

his defense is greatly improved ever since he's been labeled as a bad defender.

i will admit hes not going to shut down anyone and lock up the paint etc, but he's no longer a liability like he was playing under nellie..

i agree with that, but to be labeled as a great you have to be at least above average in most phases of the game. Tho no longer a liability, he's still below average imo

passing
rebounding
defending
scoring

etc and etc

as great of a shooter as he is, he's not great in most other areas.

I'll give you defending even though he has averaged 1 block & steal/game over his career.

Passing is not something someone at his positin is supposed to have good stats at, especially the way the offense runs through him...

But he's averaged 9 reb/game in his career and i think that puts him above average for sure as a rebounder.

And as a scorer, below average?

maybe i read your post wrong?
