If true, give us 8 years worth of hardware

From espn...

An NBA executive says the Chicago Bulls have emerged as a favorite in the free agency sweepstakes for LeBron James, along with Chris Bosh, The New York Times reported on Sunday.
The executive said he had gleaned from his discussions with other league executives that James is leaning toward joining the Bulls, along with Bosh, his teammate on the United States' gold medal-winning 2008 Olympic team. The Times reported the executive did not want to be named because he was discussing a player who was not yet a free agent.
"I think it's a done deal," the executive said, according to the report.
James' friend and business partner Maverick Carter told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard that James will have would-be suitors visit him in his native Ohio, rather than embark upon a barnstorming tour of cities hoping to land the two-time MVP. Free agency officially starts at 12:01 a.m. ET on Thursday.

But the NBA executive said he believed James would meet with those teams as a courtesy, out of consideration for the overtures and personnel moves they have made to clear salary cap in hopes of signing James, The Times reported

I really think so! Hoping for Lebron, might end up with Bosh and Johnson. In most cases the thing the media reports as most likely to happen is the furthest thing from the truth. IMO, Lebron is a "drama whore" that wants all this attention, but reality is he will stay in Cleveland. If he goes to Chicago, it immediately makes then a contender, but count me in the minority that still doesn't believe they win a championship in the next 2 years.

if Lebron comes here we win it withing 2 years. If he does not, then Bulls fan roast Paxson and Jerry until they are outta here. We were promised big free agents for the last decade. IT IS NOW OR NEVER.

I hear you Iggs. I'm just not convinced that even with Lebron, the Bulls have the right coach or role players in place to win it all. IMO, it takes a great coach to deal with a star studded team. I'm probably wrong, combine that with being a lifelong Laker fan, means I'm biased at best.

why do people say this all the time? What shadow? The guy played here over a decade ago and left a legacy for himself....SO WHAT!!!! So are you saying after kobe leaves the lakers no one will ever wanna play there because they don't wanna play in Kobe's shadow? This argument is tiresome and I'm tired of hearing it. I don't like Lebron in the first place, but he is a great player and I believe he doesn't have to play in anyones shadown, he can start his own legacy here.

People say this because of the intense amount of pressure to win. If Lebron goes to the Bulls and doesn't win championships immediately, everyone and their mother will compare him to MJ. It happens in sports all the time. Some guys deal with the pressure and others don't handle it well. Lebron is a phenom, but going to Chicago puts him under the microscope for a long time. Everything he does will be compared to how MJ did it. You don't see it so much in LA or Boston because both teams have a long list of stars.

If Phil Jackson retire, we'll hear the same thing about the next Laker coach........

I don't get how he is a drama whore. If he wanted all the attention wouldn't he go on the tours around to different cities? Personally guy has waited until free agency to sign might as well listen to other teams.

Weird thing about NBA is the money for the most part is already known before the big stars hit the market.
