I'm back with my system plays....
These plays officially start on Thanksgiving for me (once we have enough stats behind us)....but there are two this weekend. And since I'm heading to Vegas today (YEAH!!!!), I thought I'd throw my two weekend plays up here for the mall....
Portland -8 over Golden State - This line is a little high, but I think the HUGE rebounding edge in this game will be too much even for this spread. Golden State plays no defense at all - and without Azuibuke, Biedrins and Turiaf I don't see how they can compete on the boards with Oden, Aldridge and Pryzbilla. (Not to mention Miller and Roy - two quality rebounding guards) Unless Randolph (who oddly barely plays) and Mikki Moore go nuts on the boards, they'll get killed on the rebounds. What used to carry Golden State was that even though they couldn't rebound, they would sometimes shoot the lights out. Well, with S-Jax gone - who scares us on this team? I think the wheels have come off at GS and Portland will take care of business.
Saturday-
Sacramento over Houston. As long as this spread isn't far off from Houston-8, I really like the points and the Kings here. They are the only team in the league that really outworks and outhustles Houston - and despite the efforts of guys like Carl Landry, Houston gets badly outrebounded most games as well because their guards don't crash as well. Sacramento's guards do - and they will beat Houston down inside in this game, just like they did the last time they played.
Good luck everyone! Looking forward to another winning season - the system is now in it's 18th season - and still boasting only one losing campaign and only 3 that were "marginally positive". I've been posting these on the mall for about 5-6 years now and hope to continue that forever....
