Post Jimmy Best NBA 09/10 - Picks Tracking

I started following NBA 15 years ago and I don't miss the opportunity to watch the daily games, highlights and the latest news of the league.

A few years ago I was introduced to sports betting and started doing my own NBA Handicapping, specially on the pointspread.

I hope you find my NBA picks somewhat useful and that you can profit from it. Good Luck!

Milwaukee Bucks were playing very well without Michael Redd where rookie Brandon Jennings played very well and got some nice wins for his team. With Michael Redd back on court the Milwaukee Bucks have another big problem, Andrew Bogut is for me a key player for this team and he don't play in this game because he suffer an injury and without him the Milwaukee Bucks lose some skills on the offense and especially on the defense because he his the main rebounder of his team and I think that the Oklahoma City Thunder in this game take advantage of this scenario e can make some easy points on the paint.
Brandon Jennings has also been slowing down his good performances and of course with the return of Michael Redd the ball will go less on his hands, the games that I saw from the Milwaukee Bucks proved me that Michael Redd isn't 100% of his game and played nothing out there as well.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are a very young talented team, Kevin Durant, Russel Westbrook and Jeff Green are the Big Three of this team with high quality and they can make wins for this team. Beside these three players the team has Nenad Krstic and Thabo Sefolosha in the starting five, for me this two players are reasonable players because they can defend nicely and contribute with some points for this team and most importantly with rebounds.
The Oklahoma City Thunder has a very good starting 5 and this young team shown much more maturity in games and decisive stages of the game than last year but the major problem of this team is not to have good backup players without rookie James Harden then he is playing well for this team but the rest has not much to offer.

For this games I think that the absence of Andrew Bogut will be fatal for the Milwaukee Bucks, thats because he is a key player for this team who contributed with points and rebounds and without him his team will have difficulty to stopping the Big Three of the Oklahoma City Thunder and so I believe that Oklahoma City Thunder at home can win this game by more then 5 points.

Pick: Oklahoma City Thunder -5 (-110) Bookmaker

Portland has a great team with great players like Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldrigde and even Andre Miller is a very nice player and so the team has a very nice starting five. One of the best backup players from Portland are out for this game Travis Outlaw due to foot injury, for me Travis Outlaw is a very important player for the Portland because he is a very allrounder player, very important on Portland defense and offense and the last games that I see from Portland they miss him a lot on the court.
Yesterday Portland lost at home game against the Memphis Grizzlies which is quite serious, knowing that the Portland are a very strong team and difficult to beat at home and today on a back 2 back Portland will have enormous difficulties in getting a win by the Utah Jazz.

The Utah Jazz started badly in this season because they have main players they missed some games and the team was also not playing well and surprisingly the team os Utah lost some home games which is really bad because they are one of the best teams at home in the NBA.
The team of Utah have a very good starting five with players like Deron Williams, Carlos Boozer that seems to be again to return to his proper form, Mehmet Okur and Ronnie Brewer is not bad too, on the bench I can highlight two very good players like Paul Millsap, he is a very physical player and powerful on the tables and Andrei Kirilenko is a very important player in the defense and also contributing with a lot of points of the bench.

After the defeat at home against the Oklahoma City Thunder (94:104) the team managed to win again at home against the Chicago Bulls (105:86) which the team of Utah shows an excellent game offensive and defensively looked like a new team at home and playing like they played against the Chicago Bulls they are a complicated team to beat at home. Portland after yesterday's defeat at home against the Memphis Grizzlies (96:106) has now the difficult task of playing back 2 back game against one of the best team at home on the NBA and in the last 17 trips to Utah, Portland just won 2 games and honestly I do not believe that today is the third one and so I think that de Utah Jazz win this game by more then 4 points.

Pick: Utah Jazz -4.5 (-110) Bookmaker

Philadelphia 76ers @ Dallas Mavericks

The Philadelphia 76ers played yersterday in San Antonio where they lost the game (89:97) and have now the difficult task of playing a back 2 back game in Dallas. It is probable that today Elton Brand coming back but I think that he can not make much difference in this game. Since Louis Williams and Marreese Speights are injured the 76ers lose too much games and it's normal because these two players were playing very well by their team and without them the 76ers have a very complicated life.
If Elton Brand comes back tonight and I'm counting on him for this pick the starting five will be very proval constituted by his super star Andre Iguodala, Thaddeus Young, Samuel Dalembert, Willy Green and Elton Brand and because the injury's of two starters the bench from 76ers are very short and the only player that I can highlight is Jason Kapono that play few minutes but is a good shooter but otherwise the bench of the 76ers have nothing much to offer and this in a back 2 back game is very important to have good players on your bench.

The Dallas Mavericks came from a defeat at Cleveland (95:111) and because of that I expected that want bring Dallas back to the victories because the team has really played well lately. Right now the Dallas Mavericks has 4 players who are fixed in the starting five, their star Dirk Nowitzki who is in a huge form and is primarily responsible for the good campaign of the Mavs, Shawn Marion, Jason Kidd and Drew Gooden. The Mavs have a nice starting five but have also good weapons on the bench such as Jose Juan Barea has been developing a lot and is playing well, Tim Tomas, Kris Humphries and yet in my opinion at this moment the best 6th player in the NBA Jason Terry who is in great shape and in home games usually play very well.

The 76ers have a difficult task to play against the Mavs in back 2 back and with major injuries I think that the 76ers will have enormous difficulties of playing against a team that at home are very strong and against a team they are hot and all players are making some points on the starting five and coming from the bench and so I believe that Dallas today will make this game more than a 10 point win.

Pick: Dallas Mavericks -10,5 (-110) Bet Online

Miami Heat @ Portland Trailblazers

The Miami Heat come from 2 losses at home where they lost (84:94) against the Washington Wizards and (85:92) against the Boston Celtics and show many difficulties in their offense.

The team has a good starting five with Superstar Dwayne Wade, Beasley, Chalmers, Jones and J. O'neal and on the bench I can just highlight Haslem because the rest has nothing to offer. Miami Heat depends very much from the starting five becausa the bench are very poor and when the team puts some players from the starting five to rest the team suffer really much on the court and are very bad.

The Miami Heat have a very short squad on quality and have enough problems playing in away games and tonight the Heat plays on the Rose Garden who Miami Heat have really bad memories in recent years.

The Portland Trailblazers also comes from 2 defeats, one at home and another in Utah, the lost at home against the Memphis Grizzlies (96:106) the team played very bad and the Grizzlies were completely onfire and the last defeat was against Utah who they lost by (92:108).

The lost by Utah is a normal one but the lost at home with the Memphis Grizzlies played against a weaker team is a little strange because de Portland is one of the strongest team at home in the NBA where they get excellent results.

The team has for me a great starting five with is super star Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge, Webster, Oden and Steve Blake to what I do not agree because for me Andre Miller is a much better player then Steve Blake. On the bench we have players like Andre Miller who is a nice player, Rudy Fernandez who is a very nice shooter and Przybilla who is a very important player for the Portland because he make some real important rebounds for his team.

Playing at home I do not see Portland lose two straight game because the team at home are very strong and today the team will face the Miami Heat they are struggling on the offense and knowing that the Portland are one of the best teams in the NBA on the defense and so I think that the Portland will win this game by more then 6 points tonight.

Pick: Portland Trailblazers -6,5 (-110) Bookmaker
