justdonating - 2010 Opening Night NBA Donations
Hell yes its opening night in the NBA. For those of you with Directv, NBA League Pass is free this week starting Tuesday night! I'm laying off totals early on this year except for some 2H stuff that I normally like. On paper I see several good fades this year. I think the Heat will be over valued in almost every game. The up and coming Thunder will be over valued in several games. The Lakers will always be over valued. Last but not least I believe the Clippers will be a good value play most nights this season if they stay healthy.

I don't normally do any kind of write ups, but its opening night, what the hell.

BOSTON CELTICS PK
I absolutely love the Celtics in this situation. The Heat open the season on the road against the Celts. All summer we've heard nothing but how the Heat will win the East and the NBA Championship. Tonight the Celts remind everyone the road to the championship still goes through Boston. While the Heat signed Bosh and Lebron, the Celts also added a few key players including the O'Neil boys and Delonte West. This combined with a healthy KG keeps Boston a contender. Bosh is a non-factor tonight as the Celts pickup the D and the Heat miss the outside shot from Miller tonight. Doc out coaches Spolestra down the stretch and the Celts win a close one tonight. Lebron will have to wait another night to get his first win with the Heat.

PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS -7
Not much to say here. The Suns will miss Amare big time. Its hard to replace 20/10 and they just don't have the guns to do it. Nash is a year older and still has a suspect back. The Blazers with Roy, Alridge, Camby and crew are just too much for the Suns. Tempo doesn't matter tonight, the Blazers can out slug and out gun this undermanned Suns team. Sorry Suns fans, its going to be a long year.

HOUSTON ROCKETS +8
The Lakeshow will jump out to a big lead, but we all know the Lakers don't put anyone away. Kobe still isn't 100%, which means Ron Ron and Gasol will need to step up early and often. Both will step up, but the Lakers will struggle early on this year. The Rockets always play the champs tough and tonight is no different. Take the 8 and run tonight.

I wish. Busy time of year at work right now. I won't get back out to Vegas until the Superbowl. Have fun while you're out there. Its a great town with lots to do.
