A quiet day in the NBA gave me a chance to do a little research before the Friday action. We're roughly 30 games into the 2008 NBA season and there are some nice trends out there that present money making opportunities for us. Typically I'm looking to win at least 60% of the games I play. Do your own research, but here is what I see. Some of these might surprise you.

The Bucks and Thunder are not great SU, but ATS they are decent. Also, look at the Lakers ATS! Keep in mind oddsmakers have probably picked up on this, so don't think its a 60% lock. When it comes to totals, no surprise to see Golden State and their worst D in the league here, but Houston is a surprise. Look how bad the Hornets are on totals.

I can't get a read on GS, Indy, or the Clips. Indy should win, but they don't always show up. I think Minny wins outright vs. GS. GS is bad, but really bad away from Oakland. Even with getting the 12, the Clips just don't have enough firepower to stay with anyone. Again, I'm not on these 3, they're just to close to call. Good luck tonight!

The Blunder is terrible SU (4-30), but with tonight's result they are 20-13-1 ATS! They make for a nice underdog against the lesser knowns in the league. They almost beat Denver outright!

Ugh! The most important rule of betting the NBA is to remain disciplined!

I stretched my analysis to convince myself to bet the Heat +9, Heat Ov189, Pacers Ov228, Suns -13, and Pacers 1H Ov115.5. Cost me 5 losses, 5.5 units, and a winning night. Stay disciplined because you can't lose what isn't in action!
