Kidd traded to Mavs

The Nets agree to trade All-Star point guard Jason Kidd and Malik Allen to the Mavericks for Devin Harris, Jerry Stackhouse, Devean George, DeSagana Diop, Maurice Ager, two first-round picks and cash.

The west is getting wilder.

Mavs just bent over and took in the rear!!! I can understand the trade if they did not include Harris. But to include Harris along with 1st rnd picks. What are they doing!!

they just want to get 1 real year and try to go all the way rather than keep getting kick out early in playoff.
This will be fun NBA west now.

I am more pissed off about the 2 1st round picks. Don't they remember a while back at the end of the first round they got a little man I like to call Josh Howard. Giving away harris "who is a little over rated" but I would rather have harris then Kidd right now. Really don't care about Diop or Stack or Ager. But the picks kill me.

They lost the picks and a little depth, but Kidd will flourish here. Makes them a legit contender again imo.

future is a word that doesn't exist in dallas

they have nowitzki, terry, howard, and now kidd

if they need young talent they'll buy it

great move for dallas

Great trade for dallas minus the 2 picks, there was no need to give up depth and future picks unneeded, i think it benefits both teams. As far as players go Dallas got the good deal Kidd will have ahuge impact with these team and the nets got nothing really devon harris will be a great player in a couple of years. But who knows who theyll get with those picks which is exactly what the nets needed

Kidd is shooting the worst in his carrer at 36.6%, all thou his assists and rebounds are up from his carrer avg, overall i think its a bad trade for Mavs, Kidd being 35, will push the Mavs for a good playoff run, but to give up that much is insane.

those mavs picks will likely be high 20's. unlikely either player would develop to be half the player of jason kidd.

great move for dallas

cant remember the nba being this exciting, punch after punch by teams out west trying to outdo each other.. fakers, mavs, and phx now IMO it is a 3 horse race. maybe even utah int he mix. Im convinced San antonio's run is OVER
