Kobe finals MVP with 8.2 seconds left in the garden ... Hornets tonight

For the last three years I have argued that Kobe Bryant is the best basketball player to ever play the game. Yes Jordan's six championships are rediculous but as an individual talent Kobe Bryant is above all others.

That Being said I took Kobe to win NBA Finals MVP at the beginning of the playoffs at 4 to 1 odds. He will hit the game winner in the Garden with 8.2 seconds left on the clock. He finally has some help and his role players are playing like the bulls role players did in the 90's.

If there is one thing I've learned about the NBA playoffs is that it is all about having a STUD shooting guard with the will and skill to close out games. ID say 80% of championships are won by teams with the better shooting guard with a few exceptions like the Pistons who are all great B+ A- players.

ANYWAY tonight I like the Hornets to close it out against these spurs and if they dont its a HUGE DOUBLE PLAY game 7.

HORNETS first half/ HORNETS GAME - 3.5 to 1 odds
Spurs First Half/ Hornets game - 6.5 to 1 odds

10* Hornets + 7
3* Hornets ML

KOBE has played with garbage for 3 years and gone to game 7s against great suns squad. Imagine the possibilities with Lamar as a 3 option and the Euro 3 balls raining down

Michael > Kobe

Mike never bitched like Kobe does, and, yes, MJ got the calls, but so does kb8/24. Jordan also was a lock-down defender, all the time. Kobe is too hit or miss with his defense. This isn't even really a fair argument.

Chris Paul--Revolutionize a way a PG plays? You mean, points will now look for teammates first, then create for themselves if that's what the team needs? And lead the guys at the end of the game? I agree Paul has all the makings of being an all-time player, but I don't think he's revolutionizing anything. Now Lebron at point...Magic at point...different story

What do you think the odds would be on a 1-1 game with Kobe vs MJ. Both in their primes. I say the odds would be close to 50-50. I say they are pretty even in talent. MJ's clutch shot making, 6 NBA rings, and being the poster boy for the NBA influences so many peoples minds. I say they are pretty even.
