Lets say Kobe wins 2 more titles...

I am speaking very hypothetically here. It would be a better question say Lakers beat Celts two years ago, cause then Kobe would have back to back for a great shot at a 3 peat this year.

Lets just say Lakers win this year and next... Can we definitely say Kobe is just as good as Jordan? Cause Kobe himself would have 2 different reigns of 3peats like Jordan did.

Of course Kobe has lost 2 ships and Jordan never did. However, Kobe has been able to do it a younger age. I know some will say Kobe had everyone around him, true.

If the counter argument is Shaq won the first three for him. How many championships does Kobe need to win to have that fair comparison with Jordan? Does Kobe need to win 5 more?

Just wondering...

Yeah. Actually I did some further research. Jordan had 10 scoring titles. Kobe only has four.

I think the fact that Jordan has 10 scoring titles, 5 Season MVPs, 6 NBA Final MVPs and the fact that each of his 3peats were pretty much when he led the show is very unique and probably never be duplicated ever again. Kobe only has 1 Season/Final MVP and 4 scoring titles.

LeBron might be able to, but LeBron has already lost 1 Final. Only has 1 MVP and does not have any scoring titles yet.

IF LeBron had Shaq in his prime and big shot Horry, he'd have a crap load of titles too. Will be better than Kobe when its all said and done.

Kobe would have to dominant the league with individual accomplishments (scoring, mvps) and team titles from now until the end of his career to reach Jordan. And with the balance in the league right now among superstar players he wont get the individual awards often enough.

it's very hard to measure the qualitative elements of jordan's game but i have a measure for you to use.

when jordan was still playing, his dominance was so complete that every single player eventually admitted he was better than they are/were -- while he was still playing. i believe barkley was one of the last to finally admit it (even though there were far better players than him)

i don't think you could get lebron to admit that kobe is better than him, more dominant. other players may say the same...until they do i think jordan is and will be considered the best there ever was
