No doubt.

Will be lucky if they get the 8-spot. Still gotta win a couple. Need to beat the Clips in SLC and close out with the Lakers in LA!!!! May not make the playoffs.

Jazz 1-1 likely in last 2 games, and Dall prob lose at NO on Sunday, then go 1-1 at the worst with 2 home games against Minn and Hou.

Not much Jazz can do. Will lose quickly to LAL in 1st round.

Jazz will lose to the Lakers in 5. Every team in the West will lose to the Lakers in 5 or less. Max 6.

From what we've seen, the Blazers have the Lakers number in Portland--that will have to change to support what you say!!

Jazz were pretty much already locked into the 8 seed, they had nothing to play for last night, if you didnt do enough work to know that they had already clinched a playoff birth going into last nights game, you probably shouldnt be betting on the games.

thanks for the insight

Working in sports in Salt Lake, where the Jazz are the only pro team, I do no work to know their standing. I hear about them every day for about 4 hours. They had plenty to play for last night. They DO NOT want to face LA in round 1, and needed to win that home game to help move into 7 to face Denver, who they can beat on the road, or Houston, who they own in the playoffs. Obviously the joke was that something that can't be taken away would be taken away, as they were just that bad, but it didn't translate. Similar to a joke about the team being demoted to the D-league or WNBA. Similar to how a friend of mine (who works for the Jazz) from Phily has been talking about how the Phillies need to just rebuild for 2010 since they lost their 1st game. Maybe I needed an emoticon.
